Thoroughly enjoyed Fringe season 3 finale. I had some mild trepidation about it at first after the second last episode because I thought that Peter was thrown into the other universe. But Read more... )

I can't believe that the show will be ending soon? Seriously, season 5 will be the last season? Unless they screwed up S4 really, really badly, I want the show to go on forever!

Also, I watched Bourne Legacy a while back. I wouldn't have watched it at all if Jeremy Renner were replacing Matt Damon as Bourne lol. As it was, I couldn't help but compare Aaron to Bourne. On its own, I guess it was alright. I lovelovelove Ed Norton, and Rachel Weisz and Jeremy Renner were good. But compared to the original Bourne trilogy, it fell way, way, way short. Heh, I guess they couldn't make Aaron cut and dye Dr Marta's hair, eh, despite her desperately needing some sort of disguise because even with the glasses, she screamed I'm Dr Marta Shearing, apprehend me!

Matt Damon, I need you back as Jason Bourne!

It was simply awesome, right from the word go. And I want to watch it again and again.

I can't wait for this movie to come out. So much so that I'm kinda afraid that I'd be disappointed with it. You know, the kind of feeling that you get when you have very high expectation towards something. But so far, most of the trade reviews have been very good.

An excerpt from Variety:

If they could bottle what gives "The Bourne Ultimatum" its rush, it would probably be illegal. The third and purportedly final installment in the mountingly exciting series is a pounding, pulsating thriller that provides an almost constant adrenaline surge for nearly two hours. Worldwide B.O. will be terrific and likely surpass that for each of the previous two pictures, which combined pulled down more than $500 million.

Matt and his buddy Ben at the world premiere of The Bourne Ultimatum in Los Angeles SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

And hey, Matt now has his own star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

"Ben and I lived in a really crappy apartment about five blocks away from here and we used to walk up and down here. It'll probably sink in when I've walked down the street in about six months and see someone peeing on my star," he laughed.

Here's the congratulatory ad from Jimmy Kimmel LOL.

I saw 'Casino Royale' last Saturday. It was the first time ever that I watched a Bond movie on the big screen. With the exception of the last three with Pierce Brosnan as 007, I've never watched them anywhere. I do know that there had been four Bonds - Connery, Dalton, Moore and Brosnan ( or were there more? ) - and I have a certain fondness for Brosnan which ran from his Remington Steele days. And Michelle Yeoh certainly kicked ass in one, and Sean Bean was delicious of course but I was never really into James Bond per se. He's just not my kind of hero with all his impossiblly high-tech gadgets ( invisible cars anyone? ) and why oh why didn't the villains just shoot the hero and be done with it instead of going through all those long drawn-out slow methods of killing?

But I wanted to watch 'Casino Royale'. And I was really looking forward to it, too. Maybe because Daniel Craig doesn't look one bit like the usual Bond and also because they say that he is the best Bond ever and the film is not really like the typical Bond movies. Heh, we have men-journalists rhapsodizing about Craig here and almost every review that I read gave it an 'A'. Not to mention [ profile] i_o_r_h_a_e_l who's head-over-heels in love with Craig *g* So, yeah, I went, I watched, and surprise, surprise, I loved it!
