Which one should I watch?

With the 2-month-break coming up after episode 12, I think I might just have to download the earlier Supernatural S3 episodes that I haven't seen yet. I really, really do not like watching from the computer ( yes, Dev, I'll get that Divx player, once I figure out how to convince hubby that we really do need a third DVD player in the house ), and downloading is such a hassle, and yeah, these eps had been getting lukewarm reviews from my flist, so I didn't bother downloading them before.

So. These are the episodes that I haven't seen yet. Which of them do you think I should not miss? Any particular reasons why?

Okay sweetie, i'm basically in the same position that you are, in that I download my episodes of Supernatural via Torrents off the net, because I cannot wait to see the Episodes (when they finally screen on TV here...here being Australia).

I would pick Season Three Episode 3. Because, I can absolutely guarantee that you'll love at least one or two things in this episode.

I have very high standards for my Supernatural Episodes and as result I have only downloaded and kept the following Episodes from Season Three.

S03 Episode 2 - The Kids are alright - d/loaded, watched then deleted;

S03 Episode 3 - Bad Day at Black Rock - d/loaded,fantastic kept;

S03 Episode 4 - Sin City - D/loaded, watched, deleted;

S03 Episode 5 - Bedtime Stories - d/loaded, watched, deleted;

S03 Episode 6 - Red Sky at Morning - d/loaded, watched, deleted.

So as you can see, I've only kept one Episode - Bad Day at Black Rock because I could watch it a couple of times and not tire of it.

The other Episodes were just disappointing and personally, I've just come to expect so much better from the Supernatural crew.

On the other hand (or the bright side) I have downloaded and kept all S03 Episodes from S03 Episode Nine through to Episode 11 and I'm cautiously looking forward to Episode 12 - Jus in Bello airing tomorrow.

Hope that helps, my weird perspective, but h*ll I know what I like, tis all.

take care, sarahk_63

My choice will be 5. The last exchange should not be missed. *sniffs* And I can't forget the fight between Dean and big bad wolf. Dean looked so helpless there omg!

Where do you download episodes from?? I've been trying to find a site to find episodes from Supernatural and Lost and I find that it seems to be necessary to be in the US. So where are you getting yours? :-)

i vote for 2 and 5, because i think those two are both funny and deep. but the other two episodes are also must-see episodes.

I voted for episode 2, but 3 is very,very close. I've only watched up to episode 5 so far, so I can't speak for 6. If you really have to choose, I'd say that if you like Dean best, watch 2 (Dean and Ben = sooooo cute); if you like Sammy best, watch 3 (*picks Sammy up and gives him a cuddle*).

I wouldn't miss "Sin City." It was really great, IMHO, and important, too. "Bad Day at Black Rock" was hilarious, you must see it. I wasn't a big fan of "Bedtime Stories." Love, Robin

If you are only going with one. Don't screw around. go with number 3, Bad Day at Black Rock.

It's got everything. Funny, scary, gross and the excelent acting. Do Not Miss This EP!

EDIT: Deleted and reposted because DUH I realized there might be a spoiler in there.

I know I say watching 'em on Sammich is awesome enough. But then I got to watch the boys on a 32" HD screen and I couldn't even squee. It's that pathetically fantastic and...satisfying. :D

Anyway. DEFINITELY 3x02. Oh, gawd. That episode. *sigh*

Bedtime Stories was one of my favorites because it was like an old-school season one episode. Just the boys working on a case.

The Kids Are All Right was really good, too. I enjoyed it a lot. It creeped me out some.

Bad Day At Black Rock is just HILARIOUS! Definitely not to be missed.

Sin City, a lot of people thought it was boring because it was lacking in action, but you learn a lot of things about the ongoing plot. I loved it.

Red Sky At Morning is my least favorite. It became The Bela Show. The case they were working on was really good, though, and I only wish they'd focused more on that instead of bitchy bitchy Bela.

I have to vote for Bad Day at Black Rock. I loved that one.

I think #2 (of the ones you haven't seen) Kripke himself was underwhelmed by Red Sky at Morning, and I think (personally) BDABR was funny, but didn't further the story arc, and Bedtime Stories was the same (until the end, which had a kinda 'big' reveal about Dean's deal, and all deals for that matter made with crossroad demons. BUT I think you should def go with 2 or 6, both have things that furthered the story arc, but #2 shows Dean kinda in a "what coulda been" role, and it (for me) was the start of him NOT wanting to go through with his deal...
sorry for the rambling, I guess I overthought it! LOL

Voted for #2

You should watch all of them.

Definitely Bedtime Stories - awesome awesome episode! - and definitely not Red Sky at Morning. For me, Red Sky is the worst episode of SPN ever. Even Route 666 and No Exit are masterpieces compared to... that X(

[identity profile] vshendria.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
They're all worth watching!
But #3 is the best. Hilarious and TIGHT. I also love #2. I think they really hit the mark with the depiction of the creepy kids. It was well done. Red Sky at Morning has some good Dean moments. Of the four, Sin City is the weakest, but hey, the show is my baby, you know?
Oh, yeah. I think Bedtime Stories is quite good. Coulda been better, but still pretty good.

I was uncomfortable with Ep 2 - it was probably a better monster-of-the-week ep than a lot of the eps are, but I don't really watch the show for the monster-of-the-week aspect. I watch for the Dean-and-Sam relationship aspect - this ep had them apart A LOT of the time. It does, however, give us a bit more on Ruby which is important later on. And it gives us a bit of insight into Dean and how he's dealing with his impending death.

Ep 3 is gold! A must see. Introduction of Bela, who becomes important later on. Introduction of a new bad guy, whose an very enteraining bad guy, imo. Also, great Sam-and-Dean stuff - lots of time spent together. A bit of insight into John. Some awesome physical comedy. One of the bests eps of the season.

Ep 5 is a cute concept, but doesn't go much beyond being a cute concept. Worth watching, though, just a couple of cute lines and the very final scene between Sam and Dean. No new information in this one, so if you never see it, you aren't missing out on anything critical.

Ep 6. Kripke said he was disappointed with this one - too much Bela - but I thought it was a good episode. There was some good banter, some nice brother moments, some fun visual stuff, a good bit of humor, plus the boys doing what the boys do best. If you're going to watch the rest of the season, I think this is a must see, just for the Bela and the boys interactions.

Hon. You must see all of them of course!
