Do you have any of those intro themes from TV shows that you simply can't get out of your head?

These are mine.

Game of Thrones 2x06: Was stoked to see David Nutter as the director of this episode. The David Nutter who used to be on SPN, the one who directed Pilot, woot! The episode didn't disappoint. And anyway, now I know to NOT think of the books when watching the show. I thought too much of them watching the first couple of episodes and while I wouldn't say that they didn't meet my sky-high expectations, they were not exactly what I was expecting. It's good now though, and I'm enjoying season 2 as much as I did season 1.

The Amazing Race 20 God, such a nerve-wrecking finale, almost like season 4 finale when it was Reichen and Chip all the way for me. I'm so happy that team won, they totally deserved it.

Survivor: That has GOT to be one of the most delicious moments in Survivor, right up there with JT passing that note to Russell. Read more... )

SPN: The Girl with the tattoos and whatnots. That was fun. I really enjoyed Charlie and the story as a whole. Read more... )

The Amazing Race: Finale coming up soooon and I do hope my team will win!

On another note, I'm so rooting for Mark and Bopper to be in the final three of the race. And Rachel ( Mrs Combat Pilot, not green!Rachel ) looked so pretty doing the Bollywood dance! And awww ... Dave looked so very proud of her.

layne67: (GoT Kit)
This gave me the giggles.

Photobucket

Been reading a couple of Kit/Richard fics and I need MORE. Because Richard Madden said Ghost was pretty. Yeah, yeah, Richard, Ghost is pretty lol. From here. Thanks [livejournal.com profile] shadowc44! And he said it again, in a roundabout way, here, that Kit was a cutie.

WHERE ARE THE RPFs WHEN YOU NEED THEM?????

And also, apparently there're Renly/Robb ships going on? Lol, how on earth did that come about? Though I have to admit, after having seen Renly in 2xo3, he's quite pretty, prettier than last season.

Spoilers for 2x03 )

I've started on Book 3 part 2.

He kept it omg he kept It. ( I always knew that he would. )

Scruffy!Sam looked good. And I thought Jared did well there.

Saw Hunger Games over the weekend. Hubby asked whether it was any better than Twilight. As far as the books were concerned, I couldn't say since I've read neither, but movie-wise, the Hunger Games wins, hands down. Read more... )

So many friending memes, this being the latest. I haven't taken part in any of those, mainly because the sometimes rather personal questions being asked, and also because I have zero interest in some of the "other fandoms involved" parts. Now if someone were to say that they're into Game Of Thrones, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, The Amazing Race ( esp this since it's so hard finding anyone really into TAR ), Fringe, SPN and LOTR, I'd friend them like a shot. Alas, I haven't yet met that person.

Love the gifs in that meme though.

But I've plenty of SPN and LotR fellow fans, and enough of the other four to have a squee going ( sadly, not many TAR fans though ) so it's all GOOD *loves flist like mad*

Touch tonight. God, that was such a long wait since the pilot way back in January. Hubby had been pestering for the next ep, he's such a fan of Jack Bauer. You'd have thought that there wouldn't be much similarities between an obsessed federal agent and a single father raising an autistic son, but it's Keifer Sutherland, and Bohm sounds like Bauer, so.

The thing is, can the show live up to expectations after such a spectacular, fantastic pilot? Time will tell.

Btw, this is how much hubby likes Jack Bauer.

Fringe 3x01 : LOVE that, very, very much. I was a bit anxious about it initially, mainly because I had mixed feelings about 2x01, and I was afraid that it was going to be like that. But nope, it delivered and it was thrilling and suspenseful from start to finish but oh, Read more... )

SPN 7x16 : That was pretty good. I enjoyed that, quite a bit of me holding my breath there, and that hasn't happened for quite some time. The opening scene was extra creepy, love that. Read more... )

Sort of. Though the half-naked beachcomber was nothing like Lord Grantham, and the sickly James was a far, far cry from Sherlock. But it was good to see them together. Not nearly as good as Benedict Cumberbatch guest-starring in Downton Abbey of course - I WANTSSSSS!!! - but almost.

I loved The Third Star very much. But then, what's not to love? Four good friends on a walking trip together, one of them dying of cancer. Very much up my alley where angst and bromance are concerned, and it has BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH!!

Saw Fringe season 2 finale last night and oh boy, what a thrilling ride that was. I was on the edge of my seat pretty much most of the time, cried here and there especially when Read more... )

Fringe 2x20 'Brown Betty'. Oh how I love this episode. Walter and little Ella with the story-telling, I thought that was so sweet. Read more... )

Brian Cox: A Night With The Stars That was fun. Now if only my physics teacher when I was secondary school was anything like him. As it was, my teacher was the boringest of boring and the subject itself drove me nuts. I got through physics by memorising everything and regurgitating them back during the exams.

So, yeah, An Evening With Brian Cox: Night With The Stars was fun.Read more... )

The Amazing Race
It's really good to have Phil and The Amazing Race back. The teams cycling with Phil at the beginning of the show was awesome. That's new. And the first clue, and the wtf reactions that went with it, were priceless - Fly to Santa Barbara - when they were already *at* Santa Barbara lol. I'm ( for now ) rooting for the twins ( but of course, twins and brothers are my weakness, and that pair is HOT! ), the federal agents and of course, Team Brenchel. I'm happy to see that they're now engaged and they have a dog together!

Rachel is still as ditzy and shrieky and snarky as she was in Big Brother and Brendan is still cool and collected. Those two are totally polar opposites it's a wonder they're attracted to each other. But I think that underneath, Rachel is more like Brendan, that she's intelligent and cool and calm ( her BB personality is just a front, methinks ). I thought it great when she immediately got Brendan to do the easier empanadas ( cool, those are totally our karipap, eh [livejournal.com profile] rieyll? ) and I like it that she speaks Spanish. But then, a quiet Rachel is probably not so interesting, so the producers probably want her to be the way she was in BB, so *sighs* )

SPN 714.
This had me squeeing a little. nothing to do with clowns )

Fringe
I couldn't believe that Diane Kruger went uncredited in that season 2 episode of Fringe. I thought the girl with those horrible lesions on her face was terribly familiar so I checked at IMDB. She was Diane Kruger, I saw her in Troy, Wicker Park and National Treasure so of course she looked familiar. But why no credit to an A-list star? I googled it up and Oh. My. God. Read more... )
layne67: (revenge emily)
Revenge: If Nolan weren't gay, I'd totally ship him with Emily. The way he tried to get her to just let go, that just made me go awww .... wild speculations on whodunit, with spoilers to the latest episode )

Survivor season twenty-four ( omg isn't that awesome? ) premier was a wonderful surprise because I was not expecting it to air this early. I thought it'd be some time in September! And if there's Survivor there'll be The Amazing Race and sure enough TAR S20 will premier this Sunday! And I totally hyperventilated when I found out that Brandon and Rachel from The Big Brother will be one of the teams racing. I said it here and oh, I'm so glad because it means they're still together, unless they're racing as friends of course, but I think not. Needless to say, I'll be rooting for Team Branchel!

ION, thank you [livejournal.com profile] tariana for the lovely v-gift, I need that little bit of cold here. It's 32C here and it's getting hotter by the hour. And thank you to the kind soul who has gifted me with the extra LJ paid time. MUCH appreciated *loves* ( Or was that from LJ? )
layne67: (suits mike harvey)
Suits 1x12 - finale. That was happy-making good. And it's now official, Donna is my favourite character in the show, she and Harvey. I wish I know what her ritual with Harvey was. There will be a season 2, won't it? And hopefully there'll be more than 12 eps per season? But I'm so very afraid for Mike. spoilers )

Fringe 2x08 - "August". The one with the observers. That episode made me think of Castiel and Dean. Ahaha, Castiel would have made a good observer, except I really don't want to see him without his messy hair. Or his rumpled trenchcoat. But the looks the Observer was giving the girl, how he protected her, yup, my mind immediately flew to the angel and his charge.

House 810. House was quite the Sherlock there. Not that he wasn't Dr. Sherlock before, just that he was noticably more Sherlockian in that episode. I need Hugh Laurie and Benedict Cumberbatch to be reunited so bad I can feel it. Guh, I need to watch another episode of Fortysomething and imagine that Dr Paul Slippery was actually young House. And look here!

And random fannish thoughts. Apparenty there'll be a SPN Burbank con soon? Hee, will the Jeffster and Chuck and the rest of the gang be there? :D

Fringe

So, I was saying that Fringe 2x01 was a bit of a disappointment. Eps 2,3 and 4 were better but it was 2x05 that finally made me sit up and heaved a sigh of relief. My Fringe is back.

1. Anyone here watching the new TV series Touch? [livejournal.com profile] suzy_74 perhaps? I downloaded it mainly because it's Keifer Sutherland. I didn't know much about it initially other than it's about a single father raising an autistic son. I thought it was going to be a family drama, maybe something like The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time but oh my, it was that and so much more. A thrilling ( and angsty! ) storyline, it gripped me right from the beginning. Heheh, I kept expecting Keifer to put his hand around the other person's neck and slam him/her against the wall, especially that CPS person, which I happened to like, thank goodness. It'd be a bummer if you start hating a character so early on. And yes, I kept expecting him to say "You have my word" as well. Welcome back, Jack Bauer.

2. Chuck finale. PERFECT in every which way. I'm going to miss that show.
layne67: (DA mary matt dance)
I'm stoked to see 4 of my favourite couples being listed here. Jack/Emily and Dean/Cas are leading ( so far ) but not Mary/Matthew and Peter/Olivia ( yet ). Which is kind of ironic, since Mary/Matthew and Peter/Olivia are bona-fide couples. Well, I'm assuming that Peter/Olivia would become a real couple later on. I haven't come to that part yet.

And also, I'm glad they aren't pitting my OTP against another of mine. I wouldn't know which one to choose if they were to put, say, Mary/Matthew v Peter/Olivia!

Now when are they going to put Sherlock/John in there?
