Which one should I watch?

With the 2-month-break coming up after episode 12, I think I might just have to download the earlier Supernatural S3 episodes that I haven't seen yet. I really, really do not like watching from the computer ( yes, Dev, I'll get that Divx player, once I figure out how to convince hubby that we really do need a third DVD player in the house ), and downloading is such a hassle, and yeah, these eps had been getting lukewarm reviews from my flist, so I didn't bother downloading them before.

So. These are the episodes that I haven't seen yet. Which of them do you think I should not miss? Any particular reasons why?

Bedtime Stories was one of my favorites because it was like an old-school season one episode. Just the boys working on a case.

The Kids Are All Right was really good, too. I enjoyed it a lot. It creeped me out some.

Bad Day At Black Rock is just HILARIOUS! Definitely not to be missed.

Sin City, a lot of people thought it was boring because it was lacking in action, but you learn a lot of things about the ongoing plot. I loved it.

Red Sky At Morning is my least favorite. It became The Bela Show. The case they were working on was really good, though, and I only wish they'd focused more on that instead of bitchy bitchy Bela.

I have to vote for Bad Day at Black Rock. I loved that one.

I think #2 (of the ones you haven't seen) Kripke himself was underwhelmed by Red Sky at Morning, and I think (personally) BDABR was funny, but didn't further the story arc, and Bedtime Stories was the same (until the end, which had a kinda 'big' reveal about Dean's deal, and all deals for that matter made with crossroad demons. BUT I think you should def go with 2 or 6, both have things that furthered the story arc, but #2 shows Dean kinda in a "what coulda been" role, and it (for me) was the start of him NOT wanting to go through with his deal...
sorry for the rambling, I guess I overthought it! LOL

Voted for #2

You should watch all of them.

Definitely Bedtime Stories - awesome awesome episode! - and definitely not Red Sky at Morning. For me, Red Sky is the worst episode of SPN ever. Even Route 666 and No Exit are masterpieces compared to... that X(

They're all worth watching!
But #3 is the best. Hilarious and TIGHT. I also love #2. I think they really hit the mark with the depiction of the creepy kids. It was well done. Red Sky at Morning has some good Dean moments. Of the four, Sin City is the weakest, but hey, the show is my baby, you know?
Oh, yeah. I think Bedtime Stories is quite good. Coulda been better, but still pretty good.

6 is the one where they introduced Bela, right? That seems to be the consensus here, to give 6 a miss.

Thanks Muni!

Thanks so much for the awesome reply! Episodes 9,10 and 11 had brought back my faith in SPN. As I was telling a friend, I've almost given up on the show. I almost cried with disappointment after the first episode, and I only downloaded 'Sin City' because of the heated discussion about Chenney at [livejournal.com profile] dean_sam and I was curious. 'Fresh Blood' and 'Christmas', I love the end scenes but that's about it. But OMG, episodes 9 onwards are like season 1 and 2 all over again, and 'Mystery Spot' has just about become my favourite episode all three seasons combined!

So. Episode 3 it is! And thanks again :)

Episode 5 would be 'Bedtime Stories', right? The one where Dean slept oh so angelically and looking right down innocent, too.

*sighs*

Now I only have to go look for those episodes to download. Hopefully they'd still be around.

I got mine from [livejournal.com profile] spnfencentral and also from someone on my flist. You have to join the comm first though.

Thank you! :D

Thank you!

And oh honey, you've just got to see episode 9 onwards. They're absolute GEMS, esp 10 and 11 :)

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you so much, Robin. Episode 3 seems to be the most popular!

:)

Episode 3 gets the most votes so episode 3 it is then. Thank you so much for the input! :)

I went to my sister's house last weekend and saw S2 dvd on her plasma TV but it wasn't HD unfortunately. At least I think it wasn't.

Dragged hubby to Sen Q the other day, still couldn't convince him *sighs*

Quite a number of people on my flist said Red Sky was the crappiest and not just because of Bela. Heheh, a friend said Red Sky made 'No Exit' looks good!

Thanks for the input! I really appreciate it.

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you, Julia. You must have seen episode 12 by now. I haven't checked my flist yet but I do so hope it's good!

[identity profile] mews1945.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I loved it!

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you! The girl in Dean's dreams in episode 10 didn't make any sense to me as I was thinking that Cassie should have been there. Not that I like her ( though I do not dislike her either ) but I guess I have to watch ep 2 to understand why that woman ( what's her name? Lili? ) appeared in Dean's dream.

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
No one has uploaded it yet :(

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
*grins*

Looks like I must, what with the break coming up!

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Even Route 666 and No Exit are masterpieces compared to... that

Oh my goodness, really? 'No Exit' was a real dud, IMO, the whole thing was flat and Dean had no chemistry whatsoever with Jo.

Thanks for the input!

[identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com 2008-02-22 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, episode 3 seems to be the most popular one of the four!

Btw, do you know about this (http://www.saturnawards.org/nominations.html)? Scroll down for the TV nominations. That's so awesome, isn't it? Pity there's none for Jensen. After episode 10 esp, there's no doubt whatsoever that that man could act.

Yeah. Because they just need to kill Bela. A. Lot.
