Eight fics and a book
I'm halfway through 'Everything Is Illuminated', and I've got to say that I'm enjoying this book very very much. Gosh I'm so glad that they made a movie out of it with Elijah in the starring role because otherwise I would have missed out on this extremely enjoyable and brilliant book. It got me laughing at almost every single line one moment ( the way James Herriot and Ben Elton did with their books ) and the next I'd be as serious as can be, sad even. I mean, who wouldn't, with Yankel and Brod *sniffs*
And heh, this para had me choking on my drink.
Are we sure he's dead? someone asked.
Quite, Sofiowka assured. Dead as he was before his parents met. Or deader, maybe, for then he was at least a bullet in his father's cock and an emptiness in his mother's belly.
Yes, giggling insanely one minute and solemn the next, with lines such as this
One day you will do things to me that you will hate. That is what it means to be a family.
Anyway, I was roosting on the sofa reading the book, as Alex would have said, when 'The Apprentice' came up on TV. That I've got to watch. The Orlando Bloom lookalike to be precise. He's still in, looking very Orlando-ish, and I cant wait for the next episode to drool over him!
And now I'm just too sleepy to continue reading, so here I am checking on my flist before I go to manufacture my Zs, and I found all these wonderful fics which I'm looking forward to reading *bookmarks*
Wish Dust Part 2
A White Coverlet to Cool a Hobbit’s Toes Chapter 3
Orlijah's Untitled by Shinta
Brilliant
Dysentery
Frodo and Denial
Sunburn
Theater 3
I'm going to bed now. Good night ( or good morning or good afternoon or good evening ). Love you all.
ps And I'm so looking forward to watching the DVD. ( Initially I thought Elijah played Alex until I read the description that Alex gave Jonathan. Oh yes, nobody but Elijah could play Jonathan! :D )

Isn't that book absolutely gorgeous? I read it almost a year ago and it made me laugh so much sometimes! Jonathan is such a brilliant watcher and he brings these every day things so cool and from the view of an American. It's totally fabulous!
I would so much love to watch this film. Now I hope I will once find the DVD! THIS story AND Lijah! That must be a thing to remember!

Hmm, so they didn't put in the back story, eh? Well, I guess it would be too complicated to put in everything. As long as Elijah is in there!

Just see it. :D
