TV ramblings

I enjoyed Sherlock's Scandal In Belgravia very, very much. I would have enjoyed it more if there were subtitles. I don't have any problem following, say, Downton Abbey or Merlin but Sherlock's way of talking is way too rapid for me. Anyone here know where I can download the subtitles? It's not up yet at my usual place here

And oh, Revenge, how I love you so. It feels a bit odd rooting for two ... anti-heros but I really adore Emily and Nolan. My boy has some wild ideas of his own about them, that they're actually brother and sister. He's also saying that Emily is Victoria's daughter!

I'm thinking that Victoria would know that the fake Amanada Clarke wasn't really Amanda. As it is, I'm so annoyed with Jack for not being able to tell that she wasn't really his childhood friend. Sammy's one big clue, you doofus. Heh, I'm still hoping that Sammy would bite fake Amanda one of these days!

Two more episodes of Suits to go and I'm loving every minute of it, even Jenny ( gosh I kept typing that as Jensen ) and Rachel. Oh okay, they're maybe a weeee bit annoying but they didn't spoil the show for me. And I'm kind of intrigued as to who Mike would choose. My money is on Rachel but at this point in time, I've quite forgotten whether Rachel knew that Mike wasn't a real lawyer. Jenny knew the real Mike and they had known each other longer so that's a plus for her. And Harvey! Love him even though I'm still slightly mystified as to why he's so protective of Mike. Haha, so obviously I'm not slashing those two though I do adore them together - platonically. Much the same way I saw Dean and Castiel in the early days. Maybe because Harvey is a lot older than Mike.

Speaking of slashing, it's funny how certain pairings set off your inner slashy thoughts while others do not, to me I mean, no matter how much the rest of fandom does. I adore (BBC) Sherlock and Watson but I don't slash them. I don't slash Merlin and Arthur either but Arthur and Lancelot together made my heart beat just a little faster.

But Robb/Jon of Game of Thrones? I slashed them almost immediately the minute I saw them together. And lol, it's not the brother thing because I don't slash the Prison Break brothers or Numb3rs or Vampire Diaries. Shhh, I do slash Elladan/Elrohir and book!Faramir/Boromir. And yeah, Sam/Dean *g*

Supernatural tonight! I've no idea what it's going to be about, I'm completely spoiler-free but I saw some excitement at one of the SPN comms which I wasn't expecting, not from that quarters anyway and because they seemed to be excited, I'm ... hopeful. We'll see.

OMG! You like the same 2 in Revenge i do! I thought about dropping that show but the last ep convinced me to change my mind :)
Oh, and Sherlock was a blast!
Sorry, no help from me with subtitles, i dl ep and wait when they appear in that place you linked to.
And now the most important thing - go watch spn! Yes, it's me talking. But the ep was great with stellar performance from Jensen (as always)! The last scene! I want to know your thought about that scene in the car cause it was such sad and beautifuol scene in the same time.

There's just something about Nolan and Emily together that made me happy. They're both flawed and they're certainly not the conventional heroes but I'm so rooting for them.

I've the link to the transcripts and if the subtitles didn't come up soon, I might just have to read those. I'm still clueless as to what the dead bodies inside the plane meant, or the code that Sherlock deciphered, and I've watched the episode twice!

Jensen is ALWAYS stellar. Yes, I've seen that episode and I love Dean when he was with that little girl. But otherwise, the episode was just okay for me ... there were no triggers to raise my hackles ( I think you know what those are for me! ) so that's a plus for me :)

I don't know two of the programmes you were talking about but I did like Sherlock. I thought that was a wonderful episode, even better - dare I say - than last series.

I can't slash though, just like you. I can't slash them or Merlin/Arthur or the chaps from Hawaii 5-0, even though they seem so slashable. It just doesn't work for me.

I adore Sherlock and even more so, I ADORE Benedict Cumberbatch! Heh, I know he's not that pretty, but I think he has this ... magnetic attrativeness, and if you had seen his earlier works, you could see that he's actually beautiful - I love his potrayals of Van Gogh and Hawking, and I love him in the movie Stuart: A Life Backwards with Tom Hardy. And the young Benedict in the TV series Forty Something was absolutely adorable! For some reasons, they seem to want him to look not-so-good as Sherlock *sighs*

I haven't been slashing anyone for quite a while now since Sam/Dean and Jared/Jensen. Well, except for Dean/Cas and Jon/Robb. But the pairings that a lot of people seem to go gaga over, I just don't get the vibe, even though I like them a lot.

I was reading and interview with Martin Freeman and Benedict today and it was really interesting. Martin was saying how he thought of S&W as very, very close but not involved. There was no sex because they just didn't need that.

I rather think he's right, they're too close as friends for sex to intrude.

It's like those 2 guys I posted a clip of. They say they are too close to be brothers. They actually describe themselves as gay lovers but without the sex.

I understand that.

That last part, that reminds me of what Ben Affleck once said about Matt Damon, that Matt was his hetero life partner :))

Now I understand that. There are some pairs that, no matter how slashable they seem, just shouldn't be slashed.

I'm actually finding it harder and harder to get a pair that can be slashed. I think you and I both need someone new.

Ahem, I'm shipping Jon/Robb now. Unfortunately, there're not many fics around, and what there are, I've already finished reading them all.

And I think, given time, I probably will ship John/Sherlock as well. Maybe. The NC17 vibe is still not there but I love them together!

We made it to episode 7 of GoT but then Christmas got in the way and... we haven't really gone back to it. It's a little too violent for my taste, plus too many characters to follow. I don't care enough about any one character yet. We will finish it though.

I can't do John/Sherlock, I just can't see it. Adorable but I don't get the vibe, not like with J&J.

I never thought of Sherlock and John slashing in the Sherlock Holmes show either. Or Merlin/Arthur.

I adore Sherlock and John and I can see the affection between them, and I think they'd die for each other if need be. But I just don't see them having sex with other. But then, I didn't see Dean and Castiel having more than platonic love before either but now I ship them like crazy :))

See 7.11 already? :)

Dean is so lovely, inside out. :)
