I finally got to watch S3:13

I was devastated yesterday when my comp couldn't play the download. I even dreamt about it last night. In the dream, I was told that I couldn't get to play the episode because there was an eclipse of the sun in England, which somehow made me unable to receive the "signals". And I also dreamt that the entire episode was animated, which explained why some people dislike it. Everybody, except Sam and Dean, were cartoon characters, something like 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'. Heh.

The guy at the computer shop put in a new software, said that my laptop needed to be reformatted but that would take some time, and I wanted to watch SPN right there and then. And also I didn't want him to have my computer longer than necessary, too many blackmail materials in it. I have to put my slash folders elsewhere before I bring it back to him.

Anyway, the latest Supernatural episode.

Sweet Lord of the Ring, I love 'Hell House' and I *had* been hoping that Ed and Harry would make a comeback for Season 3. And my kids love watching 'Ghosthunters', though I find it rather boring myself - 'Ghosthunters' I mean, not 'Ghostfacers'. So yeah, we were very excited, and I'm so happy that the episode lived up to expectations. And more.

It was a laugh a minute! I love everything in it, the 'Blairwitch' camerawork, the storyline, the boys omg, the funnies, Ed and Harry, Maggie the adopted sister LOL, sweet Corbett and Spruce. And neither Ruby nor Bela in sight! The Ed / Corbett angle threw me off a little bit, wasn't expecting Kripke to play up the slash angle but I like it. The twist wasn't really a twist though, I just knew that Corbett was the third ghost the minute they mentioned about the gunshot and train deaths.

Yes, the episode doesn't really contribute to the story arc as a whole but I love it all the same. I think it's going to be angst and darkness all the way after this, and I think we need those laughs. Something like a breather before the storm.

But in the midst of all the laughter, and I had been wondering about this before, I got to know that Dean only has two more months to go before his year is up. Two months. I thought that he has, maybe, another 6 months. *That* shut me up me up for a bit.

Other than that, I thought it so cool that Kripke really knows what the fans ( me! heheh ) want. He brought back Ed and Harry! Now I wonder whether he'd bring Ash back. I like Ash. And really, there's no hard evidence that Ash is truly dead, except for that watch. That arm could be anybody's!

So yeah, I love 'Ghostfacers'. Big time :)

Btw, the guy at the computer shop? Turns out that he's a Supernatural fan as well and he was telling me that 'Ghostfacers' is awesome. I wanted so much to squee with him ( he seemed to want to ) but my 14-yr-old was with me, and he was like, elbowing and kicking me under the table, and muttering Muuum ... under his breath. He looked embarrassed to death, poor boy, so I took pity on him and simply replied, quite sedately, that yes, Supernatural is awesome.

And also, I've removed my Jensen google alert as it has again spoiled me with next week's title and casting. Gosh, I really want to be as spoiler-free as possible and now omg I *know* who's going to be in the next episode *head-desk head-desk*

I have one question here. The house in 'Ghostfacers' looked exactly the same as the one in 'Hell House'. Were they using the same set or something?

ETA : And Dean yelled "Sammy" many, many times ...

Dude, all this downloads we do and surfing can harm our pc's. So many codecs blah blah.
I guess if you have the vlc player, you can watch everything.

A friend told me about that vlc player so I'm getting that next! Yup, all those codecs are driving me nuts :/

I was a bit confused when I saw the house, I initialy thought that the house that they burnt in HH came back to life!

Is it wrong that the thing I loved almost the very most in this episode was finding out definitively that the Winchester Boys do have naughty mouths on them? I mean I know they can't be bleeping it out on the regular episodes, but that is one thing I always wondered about . . . it seems they have a LOT to cuss about and yet we never get to hear it. Hee! I also very much enjoyed Dean flipping the camera the bird. That just seems so very "Dean."

I think this was our little light-hearted respite before the roller coaster plunge of angst leading up to the cliff hanging finale. *sigh* *braces self for the angst-fest*

I just had to go give my in-house tech support a smooch, because you reminded me that if I didn't have a husband that could take care of my computer I would be trying to hide all the evidence that I am a dirty ol' perv from a stranger tech, and probably would not ever be able to completely do so successfully. Hee!

So glad you finally got to see the new episode, and to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed it. Me, too!

Omg your hubby rocks! As it is, mine didn't even let me download SPN on his computer when my computer failed, saying that his security setting didn't allow his computer to dl it, and he refused to meddle with it. Guh :(

I love those bleeps. And the skulls. And Dean giving the finger. Makes them even more *real*. And yeah, it's kind of funny that we didn't get to hear the boys swearing in the show ( before 'Facers ) but they did it all the time in the fanfics!

I love the tongue-in-cheek-ness of the whole thing, and how they made fun of themselves. I love the two geeky ghostfacers from 'Hellhouse'. Some time ago, during the hiatus after season 2 ended someone did a post on which guest stars that we'd like to see come back for season 3. And I said those two and Ash!( remember the long-haired, computer genius from Ellen's roadhouse? )

I'm a bit surprised that some people did not like it. I thought it was awesome! But yeah, like you said to me in my previous post, we need to have our sense of humour for the show to work, and some people really don't like that sort of wobbly camerawork, which is not a problem with me. I love the Bourne movies after all :))

I'm just so happy that it's a good show, because I was half-afraid that it's not going to be as good as episodes 8 to 12.

Ah so a BIG yay from you! Dude, I have yet to go see others reactions but some did not like? I liked even if I thought it was badly timed in consideration of strikes and hiatus and such. I mean how could you not like the return of the Hell House boys? They rock! And I loved the way it was shot - even if it did disconnect us from Dean and Sam a little. But the Dean yelling Sammy many many times made up for that. There was much grabbing of each other too. Surprisingly, I didn't think the swearing worked. I was so surprised coz I have a potty mouth myself, I love hearing them swear in fic and I fully believe that they would swear in the situations they get it. But actually seeing it just brought up the glaring lack of it in other episodes and made it seem out of place to me. Dean giving the bird though - that was so very Dean. *loves on him*

Hee, I love the swearings. Made them more real somehow. They cussed a lot in fics and it had occured to me before that canon!SamandDean seemed very, uhm, *polite* :DD So yeah, I love those bleeps and the fingers!

And I LOVE outside POV and I think they rocked for choosing Ed and Harry for that. Hee hee hee those assholes from Texas - absolutely priceless!!

I was the same - though that the boys were very "polite" as you put it. And I don't think that would be the way they were really (if networks didn't put restrictions on language!). Especially Dean. We all know Dean is bound to have a potty mouth on him. But it still didn't seem to fit when in every other episode we don't get to hear that from them. Also, Sam swearing? I don't think he would unless under really bad duress.

They couldn't have picked a better pair to do that type of episode with. Ed and Harry are wonderful. *hugs the silly geeks*

I have heard a few whispers that next weeks is right back on track with this season but I haven't been spoilt. My flist are good though so I should remain so. EEE! I am excited now. And babe, that sucks so much that you have been spoilt. *pouts for you*
