While everyone else is already squeeing ( or ranting, as the case may be ) over the finale, I've only just watched 7x21. I like loopy!Cas. He could be a nice prelude to stoned!Cas from the End!verse. And thank you Ben Edlund for some very nice shots of Dean and Cas together!

I don't get why Meg needed to babysit Cas at the asylum. I guess I could go rewatch the earlier episodes and find out but if someone could just please tell me ( without any finale-spoiler that is )?

I liked this one even though I was a bit disappointed that there was no actual monster of the week and [ profile] lbilover had said that there might be a crossover with her Pine Barren Woodjin series if the Jersey devil made its appearnce *sighs* Also, I was half-expecting there be some rip-off from The X-Files ( which is always good ) but no, none of that either. But still, I thought it was a good episode, not surprising since it was Ben Edlund's. Also, I absolutely refuse to think that ... )

Had Dean ever worn a vest before? I really don't see him as the type to wear vests before. Jensen, yes, but Dean? Lol, remember him in season 1 when he said wearing suits make him feel like the Blues Brothers?

Was it supposed to be extra cold in that episode? Or did they just want to make Dean look extra, extra good? Whatever it is, Layne approves 300% *nods*

Speaking of Dean looking extra good, which single episode do you immediately think of when someone says pretty Dean?

Was it just my imagination or was Dean extra, extra, extra pretty in this episode? And young. He looked like a kid in a candy store!

I could feel the camera lovingly caressing every single inch of his face.

The shots of him in Frontierland reminds me of that scene in Phantom Traveller, the way the camera slowly panned up his body, with Sam standing transfixed by the door, mesmerized.

Well! That was pretty interesting. I enjoyed it, especially at 18:53, which I replayed over and over again. Oh Balthazar, just for that alone I adore you.

The minute I saw the worm I was immediately reminded of The X-Files episode Ice. Anyone else thought that I wonder? And I was like, oh yessss, Sam and Dean were going to take their clothes off and examine each other!! Lol, didn't happen unfortunately :/

LOVE Sam's phone. Funny how little things like that made the old SamandDean affection come rushing back. Pity about ... )

I liked that! It was fun and cute and good and that's probably the first time that I actually didn't mind Sam being the way he is.

And the intro! I was just telling hubby that felt more like *inserts Favourite TV Show EVER* when Favourite TV Show Ever did came up on screen. Did I squee? You bet lol.

I didn't expect that, like, at all. From the excitement in certain quarters of my flist, I was expecting to scream that loud in 610 ( yes, [ profile] lassiterfics, I'm still hoping! ) but oh, I really, really, enjoyed that!

And for the umpteenth time, I wishwishwish that Jensen will do comedy next. He's freaking brilliant.

A tiny question. Read more... )

OMG the pretties!!! Arms, arms and more arms!!! I was extremely distracted by Sam's and Dean's pretty, pretty faces ( and arms! ) to really concentrate on the story itself, not to mention the pants that leave absolutely NOTHING to the imagination.

Non arm-related, not so thinky thoughts : spoilers )

Oh my. That was so, so good it felt like a finale to me. And I can't remember when was the last time I cried watching SPN. Maybe during that episode when the brothers burnt their father's body at the pyre. Or that time when John appeared as a flickering spirit in All Hell Break Loose 2, nodding his approval at Dean. This time I bawled when Read more... )

I watched that without any expectation whatsoever since there seemed to be quite a number of negative reactions to it.

It's right up there with 'The End', 'Changing Channels' and 'Free To Be You and Me' for me.

But then, I love 'Ghostfacers' too, and a lot of people didn't like that episode either!

One thing though, and hubby commented on it too. Read more... )

And also, go read Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree by [ profile] bellatemple. The story about The Family having their Sunday Dinner with all the bickering between The Brothers. Hilarious! And yeah, it's a coda to 5.08
