What a brother wants.
Sep. 12th, 2009 10:56 amA little brother that looked up to him, that he could trust. And I gotta tell you Sam, that kind of devotion? It's the best feeling.
So, our Dean has finally grown a pair. Good for him. Bad for me as I was hoping that the boys would be able to go back to the way they were, but hey, this show is about them, and I guess having them hug and kiss after what happened in season 4 would be way too easy, and if they wanted to continue torturing the Sam'nDean girls for a longer period of time, so be it.
As for the show per se, I was a bit disappointed because I thought it was rather jumpy, like a car driven by a drunk driver, and it hasn't got that "epic" feel you've come to expect of a season premier but more like a mediocre mid-season episode. It's nowhere near as good as IMTOD, or the pilot episode, or Lazarus Rising. Heck, I think it even made The Magnificent 7 looked good.
Or maybe it was just because Zachariah was in it? I hate that angel to death. I hate that character, his oiliness, his smug smile, his overall smarminess. I hated the first Alastair but I loved the second one so it could just be the actor, I don't know, but the minute he made his appearance, I was like, oh no, not him again.
Do they want us to root for the bad guys? Because Lucifer was AWESOME! And Meg omg! I love Castiel but I barely tolerated Anna and I disliked Uriel. With the exception of Ruby 2, I like all the demons - black-eyed, red, yellow, white, yes, I like the way they were played!
Having said that, I am looking forward to the rest of season 5. I can't wait to see how they're going to develope the character of Lucifer, and the Michael angle, and whether Sam will regain Dean's trust back. I like to think that's a given but with Kripke you'll never know I guess.
But how I wish they'd replace the actor who played Zachariah with someone else!!
