Just watched Generation Kill. More because of [livejournal.com profile] dark_reaction's Stand On The Line rather than anything else. I just had to watch that to better imagine Capt Sam Winchester and S.Sgt.Dean Winchester in that setting. Not sure whether I want to watch more of it though. It's kinda depressing. But on the other hand - Alexander Skarsgård!! I don't remember him being that cute in True Blood. But then I was probably projecting Sgt Dean Winchester on him!!

I wonder whether Ed Burns who directed that was the Ed Burns?

Ahh, the power of fanfics. I became hooked on Bones after reading [livejournal.com profile] setissma's Gunshy. Love Bones and Booth for themselves now but I still sometimes see them as Dr Ackles and Agent Padalecki :))

CSI:NY 6.12 and Bones 5.11 were awesome! Three major squees for all three of my favourite shows. Ahaha, talk about fandom-collide! Lindsay watching The Amazing Race of all thing, The X-Files in Bones ( I kept expecting them to mention Scully and Mulder, no such luck but that ring tone was more than enough ) and of course, Wilson doing that thing to House!!

Makes me anxious for the new episode of Supernatural, very anxious.

CAn I ask a question? With 4 kids and a job how do you get the time to read fic and watch tv?

Please, I'm begging here, tell me your secret, I can't do it!

Dude. I refused to watch GK at first, too, because of the subject matter. But it's not so much bleak as it is honest and sharp and witty and not to mention pretty. *___*

What can I say. I came for the Skarsgård and stayed for the...well, series. *g*

Hee! Okaaay - let me see. My job is kinda cushy ... I mostly just sit in the office waiting for people to come in, plenty of time to spend on LJ in between work, and no boss to worry about. At night, my time is my own from 11 onwards! It's midnight now btw.

My question to you - how on earth do you find time to read and write???

:D

You have a GK icon!!!! Is that Sgt Colbert there? You've seen the whole series?

You get paid to wait for people? Can I have your job please??? Pretty Please?????

How do I get time to read and write? Simple. I don't. I can read while I write, apart from the time the voices get mixed up in my head and I have to immerse myself in the fic I'm writing. As I'm working on my BB fic now I haven't read a fic for ages now.

Yay!! You're doing BB!!! I went to check at the comm the other day to see who have signed up but the list was soooo long!!

It is incredibly huge. I can't imagine how they're going to manage that many fics.

Oh thanks! I'm downloading the rest of the series now. Not sure which one is Fick yet!

Heh, I love the way you found some of your shows there!

And oh, how jealous/impatient you make me for all three shows! (CSI:NY, Bones, House) I shake my head at how far behind you I am in CSI:NY!

From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
Ah,but if it's not for the internet, I would be way, way behind too! You're not downloading from the internet at all?

Not really. I like to watch it on the TV (and I'm not at all tech savvy to download/hook up to TV set). I know I'm not SO far behind in CSI:NY and House, but its frustrating when airings get postponed/stopped whilst others still get it etc.

Question from your post: How much do you like the character Lindsay? Does/did she annoy you at all? (Without referring to specifics past 5.15 if possible please)

One word. Bland. There's no ... fire in her, unlike Stella and Jess. She's not annoying per se except that she doesn't do anything much for me.

Ah okay. :) I like that she doesn't annoy you though. I am on the side that likes her more than hates. Lately she has annoyed/bothered me but only I think because of the writer's storyline. I think I like her that way (a little boring), if she had more of a spark there'd be too much going on for me and it would lose track of the murder plots.

I seem to be of the opinion that people who watched Medical Investigation try to tolerate/like Lindsay more than people who have only watched CSI:NY from the start. Because Anna rocked her role in that in my opinion and the character was written more strongly, the transition to this plain kind of girl who comes to the big city and tries to keep her head down is *different*.

What do you think of Adam?

Date: 2010-01-16 04:43 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] weird-fin.livejournal.com
Was a bit meh at his start I guess. I kind of didn't like/want him. But he's grown and still growing on me I think...

Just passing the first of Adam centered/snippeted episodes.
You?

Oh I adore him! He gives CSI:NY its much needed comic relief I think. But I'm a fan mainly because of his character in Supernatural. He's a recurring character, mostly guest-starring in comedic episodes, as a "real" ghosthunters. They did a spoof to the reality show Ghost Hunters once, and they even have their own website, Check it out, it's hilarious!

I guess he has been given more of the comic stuff lately. The lab techs seem to. I think Danny or Flack used to be the joker before.

That guy on the right reminds me of Robbie Williams. I have seen stuff about that Ghosthunters/facers somewhere. And didn't Mythbusters do something similar or something?

They cameod on CSI at least. Heh.

The first time I read it I didn't know anything about Bones, but now I appreciate it more as I can imagine the surroundings better!
