chelsea chelsea
May. 9th, 2005 01:07 pmChelsea won! Never thought that I’d ever watch football much less support a team. But with three football-crazy males in the house, screaming every time a goal was scored, well, you just got drawn into the excitement. To be honest though I still can’t differentiate between the many many different championships. Premier Cup? That’s the one that Chelsea just won, I think. European Cup? Chelsea lost that one. FA cup? I give up. My 9-yr-old is more or less fed up with me, he has tried explaining to me the intricacies of English football but mummy can only remember a few salient, important facts, like Beckham and Owen are now playing for Real Madrid, and West Ham is in the second division, or is it the third?
Back to Chelsea. Why The Blues? One man. Jose Mourinho. Oh my, that is one cute guy. Yeah, yeah, shouldn’t be the reason for one to like football, but hey, you simply cannot not notice him. Not a day went by without his pics being splashed out in the sports pages. Scowling usually. But that only adds to his allure. But that day when Chelsea won, oh my, oh my *squeeeee!* That guy could smile!! But Mourinho aside, Chelsea really did deserve the Premiership trophy. They played a beautiful game ( as much as football can be called beautiful ).
Now if only I can really understand what offside means….

If a player is behind the last line of defence this part i'm not so sure about. behind meaning nearer to the other team's goal-post or nearer to their own side? *puzzled*
