Okay, so they're both from Texas and both are the middle child of three siblings. But I've only just got to know this - Jensen's brother is called Joshua and his sister is called McKenzie while Jared's brother is Jeff and his sister is Megan. See - JJM. Isn't that sweet or what? *g*

Anyone know of anything else that's similar between the two of them? Other than they both look hot in pink and that Jensen has been known to nick Jared's clothes when he's late for say, a photo shoot or something ;DD.

No idea. But he did look kind of young there so maybe it was before his SPN days? Which got me thinking that the ring that Dean wears on the show actually belonged to Jared and not his grandfather's.

Okay, how about this. Jared gave the ring to Jensen, then Jensen gave a new matching ring to Jared but since they didn't want fans to speculate if they ( read us ) see them wearing matching rings, one of them has to take the ring off when in public.

He Wears My Ring



Jensen shifted a little, but really he couldn’t. Jared’s arm around his shoulder pinned him tight and fast. Err. Jensen glanced sideways. What was Jared up to? Jensen eyed back to the reporters and the countless lights flashing in his eyes. They were at the red carpet and these people had been cheering them since they both arrived and asked them to pose. Jared had immediately flung an arm around Jensen and smiled widely and generously as he answered questions thrown to his direction. And the arm had stuck since then while his hand hung loosely in front of Jensen’s chest.

Suddenly Jensen realized. The ring. The ring he had given Jared previously was flickering from around the younger man’s finger. Jared looked so proud wearing it, and he seemed to show it off to people. Warmth crept up swiftly from Jensen’s spine and suddenly blush went all over his face as he recalled the moment he gave Jared the small trinket.

It was in New Orleans, two weeks ago.

The place was smoking hot as usual, and the thing they had just done was no help at all. Skin clammy with sweat, limbs tangled into each other, blankets literally hated, Jensen folded an arm under his head which was resting upon Jared’s bare chest, mere inches away from a puckered nipple. Neither of them was asleep, breaths still ragged from too frantic action they had both performed.

Jensen puffed a breath of air, feeling Jared shudder beneath him, and he smiled.

“You know what, Jared,” Jensen said huskily. “I want to give you something.”

Jared’s fingers combed through Jensen’s hair but the man didn’t seem to pay attention to anything Jensen said.

“Remind me again why we’re not staying in a relatively more decent hotel,” Jared said flatly instead.

Jensen snorted and pulled up, splaying a hand over the nipple and tugged it gently. Jared arched slightly and a moan came out of his parted lips. Jensen smirked and sat on his heels. He fingered the ring in his right hand, and took it off. His gaze was intent at Jared.

“Man, what is it?” Eyes turning into slits, Jared rose to lean on his elbows. A mysterious smile curved the corners of Jensen’s lips as he reached out.

“Give me your hand,” he said. Jared lifted his right hand tentatively, which Jensen squeezed, fondly.

And he slipped his grandfather’s ring into Jared’s ring finger. It fitted perfectly. Jensen drew a deep breath.

“Jared,” his suddenly too soft voice quivered a little. “Will you take me as a part of your life?”

Btw, Jared once said this: "Just be yourself and the right guy will come along, whether it be today, tomorrow, or next year. It'll happen!"

The right guy? I know he addressed everyone but why 'guy'? Isn't he supposed to say girl, or better: person?

And I found this also from IMDb trivia:
- Jensen was runner up to Tom Welling for the role of "Clark Kent" on "Smallville" (2001). Was brought onto the show in season 4 as Lana's boyfriend.
- Jared was considered for the role of Superman/Clark Kent in the proposed relaunch of the Superman film franchise.
