Seize the Day.
Aug. 16th, 2007 02:06 amI was watching 'Dead Poets Society' just now and I cried. I've watched it before but it was so many years ago, I could hardly remember how the story went. I bought the DVD because I wanted to see Robert Sean Leonard in it, as I've only recently realized that my beloved Wilson was one of the boys in that movie.
RSL was simply briliant in it. The minute he was on screen, I was like, omg, young Wilson! But all thoughts of Wilson went out of my mind, because RSL as the young student Neil Perry was amazing. Well, except when his father said that he was going to be a doctor and I squeed a little bit, because he *did* become one *g*
The movie itself is awesome, Robin Williams was, as always, a great, great actor. One of his best performance, I think. And Ethan Hawke, too. I'm not a fan of Hawke but I love his character Todd Anderson and oh, everybody in it!
I cried when Neil died and couldn't stop when the students gave their farewell to their teacher at the end of the movie. An extremely moving and touching film, one that I would watch over and over again.
