I squeed so very much when I saw the second cap. Because, hel-lo? I would love to know what you people think of it, and whether your thoughts are as pervy the same as mine.

It's a scene from Supernatural S3:14. It's spoiler-free, so those who haven't seen it yet can safely click on the cut. Though you might not want to read the comments.

The other bed was not slept in. Nothing odd there.

HOLY SHIT! That's a double bed - WITH TWO PILLOWS. That weren't there in the first pic and looks suspiciously slept on too! OMG - they are sharing a bed!! *dies and squees and dances around the office* Kripke LOVES us. The fucking mad genius bastard who I love soooo much.

You know, even if I take the wincest angle out of this, I still love it. You know why? Because it means the boys are feeling it so much that they have reverted back to the old ways when they were kids and the only way to feel safe at night was feel the presence of each other as they sleep. *smishes the boys something fierce*

However, I'm still gonna let my brain run away with the wincest angle because - Dean. Sam. Same bed. *DIES*

And yes, even with the Wincesty angle out of it, Dean was there LYING NEXT TO SAM, maybe they were holding on to each other, in a totally brotherly way of course, then when Sam fall asleep, Dean slowly got up and went to wait for the call.

Because Sam was definitely not sleeping alone there, I thought the bed was rumpled, and that second pillow had been used, and omg why would Sam lie to one side of the bed if he were alone on it????

Definitely. I have peered and peered and come to the same conclusion. Plus the way the bedding is looks like someone has gotten out of it, if that makes sense.

And you know, this helps me forgive Sam a little for leaving later that day. Shows me that he is greiving and worrying and looking after his brother. That he understands just how scared Dean is and that he is scared too. And that they are close, oh so close, and protecting each other, giving comfort where they can. Oh I love them so much. *smishes the boys*

Plus the way the bedding is looks like someone has gotten out of it, if that makes sense.

Oh the covers were definitely pushed down by someone getting out of bed. And Sam's face was turned to *this* side!!

I sure do hate to burst your bubble, but the other bed was not slept in to show that Dean never went to bed. He stayed up all night waiting for his dad to call back -- note that Dean is sitting at the kitchen table fully dressed, with a cup of coffee to keep himself awake.

What I find most disturbing about this pic is Sam sleeping in a motel bed with the bedspread still on. Most motels (hotels too) never wash those bedspreads. Sheets yes, but not the bedspreads. I've seen investigative reports where they analyze those bedspreads and find that they are crawling with bacteria. You should always, always strip the bedspread off!! Bleh!!

Kripke *does* love us, he *really* does. Though I still maintain that someday? There's gonna be a motel with no doubles left, just a king. And hilarity will be had (and much perv in my mind).

But Oselle, there need not be anything smutty about them sharing a bed!! Dean could just be -- lying there, under the covers, talking into the night with Sam, and Sam fall asleep, he got up, wore his jacket ( it's a cold night ), and wait for the phone call!

Remember 'Bloody Mary' when they were in that girl's bedroom and there was only one bed. Nearly peed myself then when I initialy thought they were in their motel room with only one bed! But this is so much better, becuase there were two beds and yet evidence points out to two person on one bed!

I agree, there doesn't have to be anything smutty about it at all but...I think what we're meant to infer from the beds is that Dean just never went to bed at all. And as for Sam sleeping on one side, I very often sleep on only one side of the bed, or at least wind up there at some point in the night.

And I don't know, given the tension between Dean and Sam after "Dad" called, I don't think that talking long into the night was on either one of their agendas.

But you krazy kids can go ahead and think whatever you want!

I totally agree with Oselle on this one, dear. I sleep on the right side, all the time, and I'm the only one in the bed. But after I leave it, it looks like two people slept in it with bedcovers yanked about. Pillows look smooshed around too. I think you girls are letting your imaginations run away with you. But bless you. ;-D

Plus, there are two pillows in that first picture on both beds. Doubles always come with two pillows.

Why of course he was facing Dean. I imagine they went to bed with their bodies curled towards each other, their faces inches away, sharing each others breath. And Dean stayed awake long after Sam had fallen asleep and just drank in the sight of his brother. Memorised all Sam's features, thinking "This is what I want to remember. This is what I am taking to hell with me". He didn't mean to, but he drifted off to sleep for a while, and when he woke he found he had turned in his sleep, his back tight against Sam's chest, cocooned, Sam's arm clinched tight around him. And he smiled gently and just enjoyed the momentary feeling of safety before getting up to await the call from his dad.

I totally agree with you on the bedspread. Heh, when we're staying at hotels and the kids are tagging along, we put the bedspread on the floor, insides up, cover it up with a sheet, and have the kids sleep there ( I'm a bad ma ). So, to use the bedspread as a sleep cover? Totally unhygienic. One of those things that John neglected to tell his kids, I guess :-0

Aww, boys.. *melts* They can always find comfort in each other. Bickering and "pissing each other off" during the day and cuddling together and holding onto one another at night ^_^

Also at this point I don't seem to be able to take wincest connotation out of anything having to do with the boys, so I'll just go with it. XD It also helps that my bubble is made of perspex, which makes it harder to burst, muahahaha! :P

When I sleep alone, I'd totally be sprawled out in the middle. And I'd stack his pillow on mine, or I'd use his bolster-like, hugging it close to me. And note that the covers were yanked down only on the Sam-less side!!

Mine would be slightly tamer than yours, though yours totally rocks of course. And Sam spooning Dean is sooo my kink, and them sharing each other's breaths *flailswhimpersfaints*

Here's how it goes in my head.

Sam gets ready for bed, he lies down while Dean paces around the room, unable to settle down for the night, let alone sleep. Sam watches him, worried, and after a while he says, "Dean?">

"Yeah, what?" Dean says, annoyed. He's still pissed off at Sam.

"Stop walking around. You're making me dizzy."

Dean doesn't answer, he keeps looking down at his phone, clutched tightly in his hand.

"Dean, put down that phone and come here," Sam says with all the calm that he could muster. Dean usually responds when Sam uses that tone in his voice. Sam pulls down the covers by his side. "I don't kick."

Dean sighs. That tone, that look, Dean could never say no to Sam at the best of times.

He reluctantly puts his phone down on the table, takes off his jacket and toes off his boots. He lies down besides Sam, arms stiffly by his sides and stares at the ceiling, refusing to look at Sam. He could practically feel Sam quivering beside him, one big chick-flick moment coming up, no doubt.

"Dean ..."

"Don't Sammy. Just. Don't."

"Yeah. Okay."

Sam doesn't say anything else, but he turns on his side and he tentatively puts his hand on Dean's chest. Dean sighs. He closes his eyes, Sam's hand warm and reassuring over his heart, no words necessary between them. Sam's breathing slows down and his hand on Dean grows heavy.

Dean turns his head to look at Sam. His brother looks peaceful, the lines of worry on his face gone. He looks like the little brother of years gone by, when Dean was the one doing the holding and comforting.

Dean gently removes Sam's hand, pushes his covers down and gets off the bed, careful not to wake Sam up. He goes to sit at the table.

He waits.

And you know I was having a read through some of the other comments and dude, the only people who sleep on a particular side of a bed are people who sleep with someone else and are used to sleeping on that side. Especially when they are 6'4 Kansas boys. Who we know from prior episodes likes to sprawl..... *glee*
