Seize the Day.

I was watching 'Dead Poets Society' just now and I cried. I've watched it before but it was so many years ago, I could hardly remember how the story went. I bought the DVD because I wanted to see Robert Sean Leonard in it, as I've only recently realized that my beloved Wilson was one of the boys in that movie.

Summary : It was the first few months after the fire and John and the boys were staying at his in-laws'. It tells of John struggling with his grief and his conflict with Mary's parents who themselves were struggling with their own grief. Dean was not speaking and Sammy was just ... Sammy. Beautifully written, it explores that period of John Winchester's life before he became a hunter.

This is mine, John declared to himself. He didn’t care if it sounded like something he wasn’t supposed to think. He was only a grunt with a high school diploma, maybe his vocabulary wasn’t up to snuff. He just knew that when he held Dean’s perfect, warm little body and Dean clung to him that there were things surging through him that were nothing other than right and sacred.
