I hate that movie. Hate it, hate it, hate it. Hate it. Because it made me BAWL. And cry. And laugh. And then I'd be BAWLING my heart out again. Oh my God. It was literally like a roller-coaster ride. I'm still sniffling here while I'm typing this.

I'm so glad that Holly didn't end up with Daniel. I mean, he's a nice guy and all, got some awesome lines, too, but you know, it'd be so ... cliche ... if she ended up with Daniel. It'd be cliche, too, if Holly ended up with William, but hey, that's JEFFERY DEAN there, Daddy Winchester OMG!!! And I LOVE the way the movie ended, LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!!

Gerry's voicemail, which Holly listened to over and over again, that birthday cake, the karaokes, the moment when they first met ... have I said I LOVE that movie?

And now I'm going to go read [livejournal.com profile] pheebs1's Sam/Dean PS I Love You and have myself a good, long cry all over again. I love crying. Can you tell?

Oh, you really are a glutton for punishment... that fic laid me out cold. I was dysfunctional for days afterward because saying goodbye is just... Nope, don't even want to think about it.

You've seen that movie, haven't you? Omg, his ASS!! I was all ready for him to come out with a towel wrapped around his waist ala Sam, and Alec. And was that him singing?

I could have easily used up one whole box of Kleenex if there was one nearby, I was really, really crying ...

Btw, did you notice one of the rings that JDM was wearing? It suspiciously looked like Jensen's ring!!

I so love this movie. I gave the DVD to a few colleagues and they all say that they didn't cry and that the movie was okay but not more. Now I wonder if they have a heart of stone because I cried like a baby most of the time.

Omg they didn't cry? I was weeping the moment Holly cried herself to sleep, listening to Gerry's voice on his cell. I would have loved it even if JDM wasn't in it, though he was the reason I watched it the first place. Everyone was so awesome in it - Swank, Bates, Butler, Connick, Kudrow and of course, our very own JDM *smishes him*

You know how most movies made you cry at the end of the movie? Well, this one had you crying almost right from the beginning, and it's all cry cry cry from there. Well, there are some moments when I laughed but I was mostly crying. I can't imagine watching it at the theater!

I have the book but I haven't read it yet, but I'm going to. Soon!

the book is a very good read :)

you cried because of the movie?! try reading the book. i did that when it was first published and was torn between laughing and crying all th time. the movie's a little different but also very good. read the book though, it's really great. and there's not just jdm in the movie and gerard, but as an extra james masters as well. what's not to love about this movie?

I'm not quite sure which one is James Masters? Gerry's partner?

I can't wait to read the book. I've bought it for quite some time already but couldn't quite find the time to read it. Now I HAVE to make the time!!

Business partner. The one he was applying that loan with. To buy the extra limos.

I can't wait to watch it again with my sisters-in-law. Watching with hubby was not so much fun, though he did tear up a little. Heheh.

Hee. I take it you've never read the book? That's the sole reason I won't ever watch that movie. Even if JDM's ass is on the line.

I have the book but I haven't read it yet. Yep, it's a tear-jerker alright, that movie. I cried buckets and buckets. But then, I'm a sucker for such stories - books, movies or fanfics. I always feel strangely ... cleansed ... after a good, long weep. Must be the endorphin.

And JDM talking with an Irish accent OMG!!

From: [identity profile] dev-earl.livejournal.com
Huh. Maybe it's because JDM's ass is on the line. That'd be kinda weird for me. Too much of a daddy figure, that man. I often refer to him as my daddy-in-law among my friends. :P

Heh, you got me. I wondered how you could hate the movie. It made me cry and laugh too, and my gosh, JDM was wonderful as that charming Irish lover.

Yeah, it's a "I-hate-icecream-because-it-could-make-me-fat" kind of thing when I LOVE ice-cream, if you know what I mean :)

The actors were all wonderful, aren't they? Now I know why Hilary Swank got her Academy Award. She was amazing as Holly. And I didn't even know who Gerard Butler was before this!

Edit : And Ireland looks such a beautiful place. I wonder whether [livejournal.com profile] surgicalsteel saw that movie.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is so yummy in that movie.

I hated how hopeless the movie was. Who'll ever get to have such a loving husband, dead or alive, just like him? =(

From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
Aah, but the movie ended on a very optimistic note, didn't it? I like to think of Holly moving to Ireland, because she can do her shoe-thing anywhere in the world, and ending up with William eventually. I wonder whether Gerry planned for Holly meeting William, getting her to go to Ireland and all.

Now I've just got to find the time to read the book, and get my heart shredded even more. Heh.

Screw the optimistic note =P She ended up with TWO loving men! What the heck? It's like those models in magazines; you'll never be as thin and pretty as they are! You'll never have one loving man, let alone TWO =|

Yes, that's what shocked me the most about the story, lol. Haven't read the novel and don't think I will anytime soon. Not in the mood for romance novels.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is so yummy it hurts. Num num num!

This is one amazing movie. I get here on this journal by mistake and when I saw I hate P.S. I love you I was like... WTF?! But movie is great I love Gerard Butler amazing acting in that movie. But if we have to be fair compared with the book movie is weak. If you cried and laugh on the movie you have to read the book...

And about this fiction which you said hmm... Going to read it :D

Everyone was GREAT in that movie!! Even the ones who appeared for a few minutes. I even love Brody the dog!!!

Yes, everyone here was telling me that the book would RIP ME APART. And I can't wait to read it!
