Did anybody else suddenly find the language setting on their LJ changed?

Image Hosting by Picoodle.com

I don't even recognize what language that is. Spanish? Elvish? This is even creepier than the icon mix-ups.

I have no idea!!! I wrongly posted an entry just now, did you notice? I meant it to be a private entry but apparently I clicked friends instead. Heh.

Trying to Google it and it seems it's Irish.

Click on "Ctrl" and "f" and type "Log out" and it'll take you to the entry with "log out" in irish, which is "logáil f3 amach".

Not that I know of. But I've had trouble loading pages and pictures have been off all day.

Same here. I kept getting the 'Page Not Found' or 'link broken' messages :(

No, nothing changed in my LJ. That's odd! It looks like Gaelic to me, or something like it.

Gaelic is Irish, isn't it? In conjuction with St Patrick's Day perhaps?

Yes, and it could very well have been related to St. Patrick's Day. Makes sense. (I seem to recall LJ doing that once before- was it 'Speak Like a Pirate Day'??)

Yeah, I think there was something during that Pirate Day though nothing changed on my LJ then. Hmmm ... so "Accounts" in Gaelic is "Cuntas" :DD

I haven't had that problem, but LJ refuses to let me change my layout and has been for the past two days. :/

Didn't happen to me, definitely looks like Gaelic. I've seen signs in Ireland with similar looking words.

It looks very Middle-Earth-ish to me. Tolkien probably based his ME languages on Gaelic?

From: [identity profile] surgicalsteel.livejournal.com
I don't think so - I think he based more of the ME languages on Scandinavian languages, although he liked the Celtic ones.

I pretty much immediately figured it was Irish, so, uh, go me for recognizing a language I don't even remotely know!

Er.

Also, I think it's hilarious that it's a whole long thing of Irish and then "Edit this entry's tags" in perfect English.

It sounds like they couldn't find the Irish equivalent to that sentence!!

Lat night when almost everything was in Gaelic I wrongly clicked on the "Friends" tab when I meant to click on "Private". Luckily I noticed almost immediately otherwise I would have gotten some irate replies to posting a HUGE pic not under a cut!
