layne67: (dean fall)

This morning when I had to do my darnest not to click on any of the cuts. And no wonder.

OMG. Jensen.

Wow.

I have no words.

And my Dean. Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean. Dean. Dean. Dean.

Dean.

Photobucket

So with all the freaking-outs I saw in the cuts this morning, I started to think that this might be the Big Spoiler episode. Then a friend said it wasn't. And I began to think of all sorts of things - Dean being sent back to hell ( close ), Dean revealed as a demon ( yup, I seriously thought that ), Castiel revealed as a demon, Sam and Dean went their separate ways ( NOOO!!! ) etc etc.

It never crossed my mind that Uriel might be the double-crosser. Or that Dean was asked to torture Alastair. Or that Dean broke the first seal.

Oh Dean ...

There was this one thing that bugged me though. Why did Dean ( and now Sam too ) keep calling Castiel "Cas"?

Laynie!!!!

What are they doing to our Dean?!?! I had such a hard time cuz my hubby chose LAST NIGHT to sit there and watch with me (which he NEVER does!) and it was all I could do not to cry like a wailing baby when Dean went into the room with Alistair. OMG!

Deeeeeaaaaaannnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh! And Dean has called Castiel "Cas" almost from the beginning and I think Sam just follows his lead. I think mainly it's just cause Dean is disrespectful to everyone; but also to show how close they are becoming since Cas lets him get away with it. They are more of a "team".

Oh Ninj, Ninj, Ninj.

Didn't he look INTENSELY beautiful during that scene. I was SO SCARED that his eyes were going to turn BLACK OMG.

And he ADMITTED that he wasn't strong enough. OH DEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got his Cas's before, it was like, Dean being Dean, you know, snarky and brash and all that, but I don't know, it seemed kinda wrong during that last episode when everything was tense like hell, and Sam calling him Cas doesn't sound right.

But I love Castiel almost as much as Dean. Omg they have so much in common, Castiel and Dean, following orders blindly. OMGOMGOMG this just occured to me, maybe Dean really is Castiel's brother? Like Castiel and Uriel and Lucifer were brothers? *GASPS*

Yeah. Anna saying "Cas" kinda bugged me too... the thing that really got me was Ruby saying "Sammy" because that's a no no right there.

I'm watching it again right now. Oh Dean! This was almost too much...

I knew Uriel wasn't good news from the very beginning. I remember wnodering if we'd find out down the road that he was working for the enemy. Well, he wasn't, but he was helping them without their knowledge and aiming at the same ultimate goal.

And Dean, I cried with him, tears rolled freely down my face. That was heartbreaking.

I didn't like Uriel from the second I saw him, and he just validated my opinion of him by turning out to be a backstabbing traitor.

Last night's show was so painful to watch.

Oh, now I think I understand your comment about Dean and Castiel being like brothers. I don't really feel that. I've always seen Castiel as a replacement father. Just because Dean tries to treat him as an equal doesn't mean that he feels they are colleagues or brothers. He always treated John like they were brothers-in-arms too, but there was no question -- John was his daddy, the man he wanted to protect him. What I liked about last night's ep was that Castiel actually arrived to rescue him, actually showed up in a way his father rarely did. And okay, Castiel got his ass kicked, but Dead didn't know that.

Don't worry about Sam being replaced. In the end it will be Dean and Sam, you'll see.

I wonder whose idea it was in the first place to have Castiel being called Cas. Kripke himself? It was okay when Dean said it in a jesting sort of way but to have everybody else called him that including Anna, that just doesn't sound right to me. Huh, maybe they should also call Uriel "Urie" and Alastair "Ally". And Rube heheh.

And Jensen deserves an Emmy, he does, he does, he does.

You know, when a friend told me that Cass ( double S ) would be there I immediately thought it was Cassie and I was like, CASSIE?!? But I'd rather have Cassie anytime compared to Ruby. Tak sukanya dia. Geram geram geram :(

I've been thinking about that Sammy thing, and yes, I HATED that OMG. What were the writers thinking of?

*kicks them*

Was Ruby thinking of Sam as a child when she fed Sam her blood? The way he was just a baby when the YED first bleed into him?

I just watched it for the second time too, and Jensen blew me away all over again.

I hate that part, hate it hate it!! So, I guess Ruby's now in the same league as Dean, being allowed to call Sam "Sammy" :((

It was damn creepy eerie, the way he said Lucifer's name with such reverence, refering to him as their brother who defended the rest of them. Scary. And some people might be swayed to that way of thinking. I don't like Uriel either but the actor who played him was really good!

And yeah, Dean. He BROKE me to thousands of pieces.

Oh yes, it was painful, Julia, very painful. My Dean ... I'm so glad that he has Castiel by his side, on his side. He always has this abandonment issue - Mary, John, Sam, Cassie, Lisa ( Ben's mother in The Kids Are Alright ) - everyone seems to be rejecting him - and yeah, I hope Castiel will always be there for and with him.

And remember Dean here in In My Time Of Dying? He looked so young then!

Now, what makes me worry is that Uriel killed those who didn't agree with him, but we don't know for sure if there are others out there who agreed and may be willing to continue his work.

One thing that bothered me is that Alastair said that they tried to make John break the first seal but he resisted, but Dean wasn't strong enough to resist. Only, I think it's pretty obvious from what Castiel said - even though he didn't say it explicity - that it had to be Dean, that maybe the demons figured Dean was the one who could break the seal. Not John, so I wouldn't be surprised if Dean received a very special treatment in hell.

Now, the reason I don't think John would be useful to break the seal, no matter how rightful he was, is because when he was sent to hell, the angels didn't go after him, didn't try and save him. If they did, John wouldn't have had released in AHBL2.

Just my thoughts. I'm so looking forward for next week's episode (finally!). I've been dreading the episodes for some time now but this one may bring some kind of hope, at least for me.

Sorry for the rambling.

This is why I've watched the show, but I'm beginning to believe less and less that we'll come back to it.

You know, at this point in time, I actually don't mind if Sam was replaced. Don't get me wrong, I still love Sam, and SamandDean, but Sam's getting more and more on my nerves lately, especially when he was with Ruby. I like it when he came to Dean's rescue though but the way he was so confident that Dean couldn't "do it", that bugged the hell out of me.

I want Sam back of course but more for Dean's sake.

And yeah, when Uriel and Castiel were talking about Lucifer being their brother, and Castiel following his Father's orders blindly, that brought me straight to Dean and John, and the angels' other brother. I've no idea whether they're going to bring Michael into this or not but oh I can't wait to see why Dean's so special!

Btw, did Alastair taunt Dean by calling him Daddy's little girl? I didn't get that the first time but I was watching the show for the second time and omg!!!

Yes, it gave me the shivers when Uriel said that there're others who have followed him, so now they not only have to go against the demons but also the angels who have turned. Heh, talk about 'better the devils you know than the angels you don't' lol.

it's pretty obvious from what Castiel said - even though he didn't say it explicity - that it had to be Dean

There MUST be something more to Dean, something that make him fill the requirement of a "righteous" person, something that made Castiel think that he could talk directly to Dean in Lazarus Rising.

What I wouldn't give to read a fic on how the angels laid siege in hell to save Dean.

And ramble on hon, I LOVE talking about SPN :))

I love where Sam is going. I think it makes him more interesting and complex. And I don't mind him saying that Dean couldn't "do it" at all. It was true. I like the idea of Sam being the protector for a while, because Dean needs it. Dean should have a turn at letting go, letting someone else do the nurturing.

When I saw it will be Dean and Sam again, I don't necessarily expect that everything will be exactly the same. I'm hoping for change. I don't need Dean and Sam to be attached at the hip, but I do think they have an unbreakable bond. It's going to get put to the test...big time.

Yeah, that was one hell of a good taunt from Alastair. Good writing from Edlund there, and fantastic acting. Christopher Heyerdahl was just superb through that entire sequence.
