If you have to choose one, just one scene from 4.18 which made you go oooooooooohhh, which one would it be?

The boys in long, FBI overcoats!!! They never wore those before, and oh my, when they first walked into that bookstore *FAINTS*

The overcoats really emphasized their broad shoulders, Sam especially, and they looked even more manly and gorgeous, not that they didn't before, but this ... GUH

And of course they made me think of my favourite ( real ) FBI agents. This. How I wish they'd run around with their coats flapping around them ala Mulder and Scully!

Did I say one? Because this, omg, this one came a very close second. Because Dean reading! On the bed! On his side with his legs carefully crossed! From the look of it, I bet that was the part when he was having sex with Cassie. Was it this part when he said something about frontal nudity? Omg I was so thinking that they were refering to those manips at that time.

Now do tell me what's your one favourite, heart-stopping, drool-inducing moment :)

It looked so domestic and INTIMATE, didn't it? And Sam was looking up at Dean now and again, watching him reading, and I bet Dean didn't read all that often!

Yup, Sam was reading those indeed, and probably looking at the manips as well :D

The thing is Dean obviously does read and Sam just doesn't know it. Dean's referenced books in several episodes now and two episodes this season alone one being in Sex and Violence and then this one.

Makes me want to smack Sam when he gives him that incredulous look. Dean is NOT dumb DAMN IT!

Sam was comparing the manip to the real thing *snorts*

I just read this at a friend's journal :

Today's Media Life Daily reported that last night's episode posted its highest ratings of the season among the 18-34 age group, tying for fifth place with Grey's Anatomy.

From here (http://oselle.livejournal.com/371269.html).

Isn't that great or what?

Yes!

Someone posted something earlier about it even holding it's own against ER's series finale. I think it was at dean_sam site.

You know, I totally cannot recall the praying part. Which one was it? I'll go and watch that part now.

And Dean with that cute band-aid ...

Just had to butt in here with a theory. I suspect when Sam was younger, Dean didn't have much interest in reading, and was more into doing things than reading about them. Plus, when would he have had time, unless it was a school assignment he couldn't get out of? When Sam left for Stanford, Dean suddenly had a ton of brotherless free time. I mean what's he going to do? Talk to John? Better to talk to the stuffed moose head in the motel room, I think. So he started reading more, discovering it was a great way to temporarily take his mind off his problems. So by the time Sam comes back, Dean's read a ton of books that Sam has no idea Dean even knows about, because how would he know? Ever since he came back, Dean is too busy to sit down and read a book. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it, till I hear a better one!

Well I'd much rather talk to the moose head than John. *yep shakes head*

Tis true and when he was on his own hunts he didn't have to pretend to be anything other than who he was too.

Oh I like your theory!! What do you think are his favourite reading materials? Not high lit I think but then you never know. Maybe books and mags on cars and weapons. And if he read novels probably they'd be the ones about wars and combats.

I can't remember the exact words; but it's after he asks Castiel for help and Cas says no. Then Dean says, "Screw you and screw your God. If you don't help me now, the next time you need my help you can..." something, and the look on his and Castiel's faces. But of course, as I have stated often; I am all for the Angry!Dean. *swoon*

From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
Oh yeah, angry!Dean is a sight to behold. The clenched jaw, maybe twitching just slightly, the blank, flat stare - and of course that makes me think of Dean torturing Alastair!!

I don't think I'd be able to give a very good answer to that; I usually have a hard time thinking from Dean's perspective. I agree, he'd enjoy car magazines, Soldier of Fortune, etc., and the occasional issue of Sports Illustrated, and People when he thinks no one's looking.

It does sound like he's more into adventure-type novels, but not fantasy-adventure.

Date: 2009-04-04 03:57 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
I agree with you on him not reading the fantasy-adventure ones, and probably not the horror genres as well. He would have enough of those in his real life.

Though you know, I'm kinda thinking that Dean might be reading romances hee hee.

He looks just like Alec lying there, doesn't he?

The moment that killed me was when he ordered the tofu burger in the diner. He did this thing with his face where he just...shuddered in horror but only with his face, pretty much only with his upper lip and I don't even know how he did it but I loved it. He can really do physical comedy in such a nice, subtle way.

Did you see him in 'Mr Rhodes', that teen comedy sitcom? I thought he was absolutely adorable as the geeky Malcolm, and yes, I so totally think he does comedy very, very well.

And not only he can convey a whole lot of expressions with just his upper lip, he can do it without twitching a muscle too, he could just look at you and you're done.

Alas, I've only watched one episode of DA. Alec read?

I can't recall seeing Alec read but there's something about what Dean's wearing in that picture and his expression that's very Alec-ish.

You've actually seen him in Mr. Rhodes but you've only seen ONE episode of Dark Angel? Oh, you have been sorely deprived. I can't even begin to describe the Jensenny goodness therein.

Not whole episodes, no, just clips with him in it here and there.

As for DA, the one that I saw was Beresford Agenda. The show was shown for a short while on our TV here but it was aired at 8 am weekdays when I'm about to go to work and I couldn't find the DVDs anywhere :/

Ha! If he found some of the ones by Emma Holly, for instance, yeah! Her books are like erotic romances, but really pushing the edge. None of that tame Barbara Cartland stuff for him. He's find a book someone left behind in a motel room or something, or lost at a restaurant, and start reading it and stay up all night till he finished it! :)
