I had NO idea he'd been working for this long. Gosh. These pics are both adorable and hilarious. I think I remember hearing about a sort of informal competition between Jared and Jensen to see who could dig up the most embarrassing pictures from each other's early careers and clearly, it's no contest.

Ahh, the Nordstrom's ad IS a classic but for maximum embarrassment I don't think anything can possibly top the skincare advertisement Jensen did WITH HIS MOTHER. I still wonder if that was a Photoshop job but it was so excruciatingly cheesy that it HAD to be the real thing.

He was a bit too neat and nice looking as a youngster - I like my kids covered in mud with torn clothes, a twinkle in the eyes and a (I'm not really) sorry on their lips: it's shows they've had a good time playing. But, oh boy, that is one gorgeous looking man, that photoshoot shows him off to his best.

I never saved it because it was too horrifying. It was an ad for some women's skin cream and it must've appeared in Soap Opera Digest or one of the other soap mags here because the copy was like, "How does Days of Our Lives' Jensen Ackles's mother look so young!?" It was so funny and so awful and so cheesy and I'm sure someone out there has it. I can't even bring myself to look for it, it was just that awful.

And he shared skin cream with his mother? Omg how gay is that? I wonder whether he and Jared now share face scrubs and masks, and whether they exchange tips on how to look glowing and such.

As far as I can recall, I don't think the point was that he and his mother used the same cream. I think he was in the ad because readers of the magazine would know who he was (because he was on "Days" at the time) and the marketing angle was here's this 20-year-old's mother and OMG doesn't she look like his sister how DOES she do it? sort of thing.

Nevertheless, it was very, very gay.
