The think I stick in my computer (thank god now the boys are grown up it's no longer lolly sticks, orange peel, their fingers etc) it's a memory stick.

An USB stick is the thing for the computer and a mobile phone is called Handy in Germany, no matter if it's actually handy or not. I think that's gaga, but unfortunately I don't get asked.

I just say 'my phone' generally when referring to my mobile phone, these technologies have become so common it doesn't matter too much.

USB again as others here say (proper terminolgy ;) ) or USB memory stick, USB flash drive, or the others on their own. I use everything, almost. But I might understand others saying 'flash drive' but I don't say it myself, i'm 99.9% USB stick/key.

#1 - I sometimes call it USB drive too. But mostly I call it Thumb drive.

#2 - I used to call it my cell(phone). Nowadays I just call it my iPhone. =p

Another one calling it a USB stick. But that's because my kids are in software, and that's what they call it. Otherwise, I rarely use it.

And we use either cell, mobile or if we know what kind of phone it is, iphone or blackberry.

I've this slot on my computer that's used for memory card. I wonder whether a memory card is the same as memory stick? Short and to the point! I sometimes wonder how the word "flash" was derived. I can imagine people calling it thumb drive because maybe they pushed it in with their thumbs? But why flash I wonder? Because you can get your stored info in a flash?

I noticed that you call the phone messages SMS too ( like me ). I've always thought that only people around my part of the world call it thus! Maybe because you know, in fanfics and on TV they always say "text".

There're dozens of thumb drives in my drawer. I download a lot, save them to my thumb drive and stick it into my dvd player to watch on TV. I have 4 for SPN alone!

#1 Only 4 people from the above poll call it thumb drive ( including me ). I thought it was the term for it but then I keep seeing people on my flist calling it flash drive!
