Weekend ramblings.
May. 21st, 2011 11:11 amI was just about to ramble on a few fannish stuff when I suddenly felt tremors. Very faint, but unmistakably there. Never having experienced tremor of any sort, our country is out of the Ring Of Fire, I initially thought it was my computer, then I thought it was my heart ( paranoia, paranoia ), then the door to my office started shaking, a little bit not much. There was no noise to suggest that anyone was using the drill machine.
I went out and it seemed that everyone was out of the building with their handphones in their hands and yes, it was a tremor that I felt. It has stopped now, it lasted maybe about a couple of minutes.
While it was quite exciting, it was extremely worrying as well because we never ever had earthquakes before. Or maybe there's an earthquake in nearby Indonesia and we're feeling the tremors here. I'll know soon enough if that were the case.
dev_earl and
rieyll, you girls felt anything?
Now for other ramblings. Saw Pirate of the Carribean 2 nights ago. I'm afraid PotC has lost a bit of its original charm for me. It has its moments, the mermaid scenes were fantastic but otherwise, not so much laughs as before. And I kept seeing Will Turner in the clergyman!
Accidentally saw who got voted off on American Idol. Wow. Really? Really?
Currently downloading SPN two-hour finale. I'm loving the new filesharing site 'Wupload'. Less waiting time, the capcha is easy to read and not many annoying ads. A wonderful alternative to Megaupload!
And oh, did anyone else see Elijah Wood during the Top 3 performance? That was a very pleasant surprise indeed. I was hoping that Ryan Seacrest would talk to him but unfortunately he didn't.

The person standing next to him made me think of Elijah being all wrapped up by Shelob.
They showed SPN Wendigo on AXN Beyond this morning, saw a part of it while having breakfast before going to work. I swear that I sat still with my mouth slightly open, it was that good! The looks that the boys exchanged with each other, the genuine love, the thrill and suspense of hunting the wendigo. Awesome.

Date: 2011-05-23 01:47 am (UTC)It happened at around 10.45 am. Panic tau, but at the same time thrilling. You know-lah, tak pernah rasa tremors, except the simulated one at Petrosains. There was nothing mentioned in the newspapers or in the internet so I really wonder what it was actually. And when I heard about the landslide I immediately thought it was connected to the tremors. Poors kids and their families :(
