I'm kind of looking forward to watching BBC's Young Herriot. "Kind of", because I'm not sure whether or not I'm going to like it. The James Herriot that I love is the well-meaning, bumbling young vet who went traipsing all over Yorkshire treating creatures great and small, so yeah, James Herriot during his college years? We'll see.

In the mean time, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THOSE WHO CELEBRATE!!

I have no idea who that James guy is and no time to read that article (thanks for the link though) but i saw the pic and OMG! It's the guy i saw in britt's series this fall! He knows how to act and i'll def watch this one! Thanks for heads up.

Oh, I love the Herriot books... there's parts that make you shriek with laughter and parts that have you grabbing for tissues. The original show was fun, though I didn't like it as well as the books. This prequel... hard to say if it will be good or not. That reviewer was certainly not more than lukewarm about it, but I'll give it a go when it hits BBC-America.

What series was he in before this?

The character James Herriot was from a series of books he wrote ( James Herriot himself ) from his days as a vet in Yorkshire. I love the series to bits and pices, it's funny and angsty all rolled into one.

I've heard of the original show but I haven't seen it yet.

I guess Tristan and Siegfried wouldn't be in Young Herriot and oh, I do love those two and their interactions with James.
