I know, right? When Watson realized that Sherlock had purposely sent him away after Mrs Hudson was presumably shot, his face omg, and him on the phone with Sherlock, yes, that was utterly heartbreaking. And his faith in Sherlock ... *sobs*
Did you see the second Sherlock movie? Sherlock "jumped to his death too" but he plunged into a waterfall and I got how he survived that, but this? Unless somehow it was Moriarty that he pushed down in a sleight of hand. There was no mention of Moriaty's body being found and I thought, when they turned the body on the pavement, the face looked somewhat like Moriarty!
I've always thought he was a bit "faded" compared to Sherlock who was always so vibrant and right there in your face, but in Reichenbach, oh boy, he was MARVELLOUS. And you know, I think I'm starting to get the slashy vibes between them ( I didn't before ). I love the earlier scenes when Sherlock was getting all those gifts and John was urging him to say thank you, that was soooo adorable and sweet. And when they were holding hands!!!!
I'm afraid I don't get the slash vibes - which is a real shame as I really, really want to.
For me I could never see Watson as either a doctor or a soldier. He just didn't feel military at all, didn't have that sort of manner. But I think he nailed the acting in this episode.
Those slashy vibes will come on its own. I didn't slash Sam/Dean at first, or Dean/Cas, but now I love them so much!
Yes, Watson didn't feel military, but then he's a doctor, and a military doctor need not be quite so military-ish. I once toyed with the idea of becoming an army doctor, was encouraged to do it when I did a short stint at a military hospital during my uni days, and I'm totally NOT the military type at all lol.
Re-slashy vibes. I think the slashy vibe is a bit hard to get because Sherlock is soooo asexual, right?
I still don't get Dean/Cas but I can understand why people do. Yes, I agree, Sherlock is asexual and that's probably my problem with him. Also Watson looks after him so much, more like a parent than a lover.
I didn't realise you were a medical doctor. I had in my mind that you work in an office - I wonder where I got that from? What do you do now?
Yes, GP. And yes, I do enjoy it - not much stress, and I'm my own boss. Can't help thinking ( and shuddering ) on how I managed to get through my first seven years of working-life at the hospital, with 2 small kids too!
It must be wonderful, knowing you're doing something really useful like that. But I can imagine how hard it must have been working in hospital with young children. I really do admire an woman who works when they have children.
Do you still work full time? I work part time, that suits me perfectly since I've had children.
I haven't been reading the news much but I take it that season 3 is confirmed? Lol, I think my mouth hanged open most of the time, watching it last night, and I think I hardly breathed either ( or blinked an eye ), for fear of missing a word.
Oh man, YES, every second and every moment, each of them was divine, every lines spoken, every expression, every look!! I'm so in love with them right now!!
