Two years after the yellow-eyed demon is defeated, the Winchesters are still waiting for their happy ending.

Sam went back to school, but this time, instead of him leaving Dean, it was Dean who left him , for reasons of his own. And just like before, Dean turned up on his doorstep and whisked him away for a hunt. But it was more than a hunt that made Dean came back for Sam after two years of silence.

"I just know, Dean, you're my brother." Sam sighed. "But you're - Jesus, nevermind." He paused, continued like he was talking to himself. "It's like you don't even want to be my brother anymore."
Dean felt like someone had dropped a capsule of acid into his stomach. He opened his mouth, trying to figure out something that would appease Sam's curiosity without giving the whole fucking game away, but there was nothing.
"Sam," Dean said, and his voice was hoarse. He cleared his throat. "Hey. Sammy?"
Sam looked up at him quickly, like something in Dean's tone had caught his attention. His mouth went tight and worried. "Yeah?"
"I'm dying," said Dean.
And yeah, maybe that was a little abrupt, but it was the truth. That was all Dean had.

This, is a roller-coster ride fom start to finish. And dying!Dean, you could never go wrong with a dying Dean. Gripping; you're right there with Sam every step of the way in his desperate attempts to save Dean's life.

The minute I came to the part where Dean told Sam that he was dying, I just knew I had to finish reading it. I slept at 3am last night. But don't worry about the story. I wouldn't have rec'd it if I hate it.

OMG I'm currently obsessed with that fic. I've been reading certain parts over and over again - that night when Sam got drunk ( after he realized there's no cure for Dean ), when Dean got jealous seeing Sam with that girl, the ritual, oh, lots and lots more!
