It was simply awesome, right from the word go. And I want to watch it again and again.

Everybody was great in it! Joan Allen and Julia Stiles were amazing. Love how the story was continued seamlessly from 'The Bourne Supremacy'. I really like how the ending in Supremacy where Bourne was watching Landy from the other building was put in the middle of Ultimatum.

My favourite part was when Bourne lured Vosen out of his office using Landy as a bait. Didn't see that one coming. But I didn't get how Bourne managed to open Vosen's safe. How on earth did he do that?

The ending where Bourne was floating in the water was pretty cool because it made me think of how Bourne was first introduced in the first film, floating in the ocean. Perfect.

Matt had been quoted as saying that would be no more Bourne movies after this. But there're still a number of unanswered questions there and we won't find the answers in the books. The movies have deviated a LOT from Ludlum's original trilogy.

For instance, we're still not told why Bourne volunteered for the project in the first place. Same reason as in the book?

And Nicky. Why did she so willingly help Bourne? For a moment there I was afraid that Nicky's going to be Bourne's new love interest. Thank God that didn't happen. But who exactly was Nicky to Bourne? The way she said "You really don't remember, do you?" implied that she had known Bourne before.

Speaking of Nicky, I like that scene where she cut and dyed her hair black, with Bourne watching from the doorway. Every single thing that Nicky did there screamed Marie. What Bourne must be feeling there, remembering Marie.

I really hope that there'll be a fourth installment planned. Unlike the books, there's no actual closure in the movie. And they should do it soon because Matt is not getting any younger!

And oh, another thing. Jason Bourne has the same initials as James Bond. And David Webb has the same initials as Dean Winchester!!!!!

Hee, I'm so shallow!

But I believe the JB initials was delibrate when Ludlum wrote the book. You know, a brand new spy that's an anti-thesis to Fleming's Bond.

Can't imagine Bourne saying "I'm Bourne, Jason Bourne." :DD

Yay!

I'm so glad that you enjoyed it. I thought it was a great film and the symmetry with the other films was very subtle and very clever.

A lot of people have compared James Bond and Bourne but I love them both. I love Daniel Craig for taking Bond back to what he was in the books and for making him ruthless, broken and brutal. I love Matt Damon for keeping this non-cannon Bourne true to the character in the book - flawed, human and absolutely fucking savage.

I can't wait to see it again. :D

Ahh, that's the word that I was looking for - symmetry. The symmetry is *brilliant* in all three films.

And without a doubt Craig is the best Bond of them all!

I've never read the books, so I have no preconceptions about Bourne. Matt Damon's Bourne is the only one I know or need. He's amazing, isn't he? I love it that he's so contained one minute and just absolutely explosive the next, and it happens in an eyeblink. I loved Joan Allen and Julia Stiles in the movie too. Both great actresses. And the scene where Nicky cut and dyed her hair was so chilling in a way, just because it did take us back to the first film and that scene with Marie doing the same thing.

Funnily enough, when I first read the books ( no Matt Damon back then ), the Bourne that I pictured in my mind looked like Richard Dean Anderson!

Marie didn't die in the book. ( My Marie then looked like Victoria Pricipal LOL ) and there's no Nicky either. Except for the Bourne character and the basic outline, the movies are not like the books at all. And in the book, the death of his wife and child was what drove him to be a volunteer for the Threadstone and Blackbriar projects. Since they didn't answer that question in the movies, here's hoping that there would be another sequel!

I loved this series and actually the first time I dont mind the movie straying from the book. That has to be all Matt and his talent.

I wouldnt mind that Nikki was his girlfriend only because it wasnt made apparent through out the movies but I was really kinda hoping for like sister, cousin kinda of thing maybe or they grew up together.

Though again why did he volunteer ??? I thought there was some talk about Bourne 4, I hope it happens.

I was thinking maybe the latter. Nicky's too young to be his girlfriend. But then, the age difference never stop Hollywood before. Heh. And of course, Matt is not that old. Unlike Harrison Ford in the upcoming Indiana Jones. God, I hope they wont wait for Matt to be sixty before they make Bourne 4.

He could be Bourne's little brother in Bourne 4.

Bourne's regaining his memories. And bit by bit he begins to remember about who and what he was. And those near and dear to him. One face stands out from a sea of near-familiar faces. And a voice. A much beloved voice ...

*whimpers*

What name shall we give him? Dean Webb? :DD

I've requested an SPN/Bourne crossover from [livejournal.com profile] tigriswolf, along the lines of Dean and Bourne face-off. But maybe we should give her this bunny instead *g*

She's taking requests here (http://tigriswolf.livejournal.com/158723.html). Scroll down for my Bourne crossover. But it's a loooooooong list so we might have to wait awhile for that. Go put in your request!
