private entries

layne67When I post an entry marked 'Private' no one else can read it except myself, right? I was lurking around my flist's friends' entries and to my horror I found my private-marked entries there. Can you guys read them or is it only me that can see them? Nothing provocotive in them it's just that I've been doing a lot of these quizzez lately and I've posted them on my journal for my eyes only.
And another thing. I just found out today that some of the comments made to my comments have not been send to my email. Is that a common occurance in LJ?
