Ooooh, do read this now!!

Suspended in my Silver Cage by [livejournal.com profile] fleshflutter.

Summary : A scandal plays out at Sam's high school, and for once the Winchesters aren't at the centre of it.

Achingly, perfectly and beautifully beautiful. It says more that what is actually said and done.

Sam doesn't make her talk. He's used to silence. He's the master of silences so eloquent he's expressing things better than if he'd actually opened his mouth and spoken. He's one hell of a liar, so long as he's speaking. He gives himself away in looks and touches, and the absence of them. But he doesn't think Dean knows that yet. He counts on him not knowing.

What did she write again?

Is this one Sam/Dean?

Yep. But this one is unrequited. It breaks my heart ...

Btw, did you manage to finish the one that she wrote about Dean being deaf and blind? It's completed, and it's totally made of AWESOME.

Oh, not yet, I guess. :)

I'm reading fics by a Hanna Korossy now. All gen and so touching.

That's a familiar name. I've read a few of her fics. Nice ...

It was... well I truely have no words to say what it was. But despite it breaking my heart I loved it. I read it twice in a row just before heading off to work and it honestly has stayed with me all day. The woman is a amazingly talented. The paragraph you have copied was one of my favorites also.

That Amy / Jason parallel is so brilliant, isn't it? And her fastforwarding it to Sam in Stanford with Jessica, and him meeting Amy again is again, brilliant. But I'd like to think that unlike Amy and Jason, there's still hope for Sam. In that particular universe, I mean.

I loved the way she told their story thru Amy/Jason. And the little things like Dean waiting up after Sam went to the bridge with Amy. Or when he took on the school kids who were laying into Jason. How these instances showed that it wasn't just Sam who felt like he did, that Dean felt the same even if he was still denying it to himself (maybe) and definately denying it to Sam.

Despite Sam's change of heart when with Jess in Stanford, I too liked to believe that in that universe there was hope still to come for him and Dean. Although I would love for her to write the sequel - just to fix my broken heart if nothing else!

I also found it very confronting in a way. I am so accepting of wincest and feel that it is almost right/inevitable in Sam and Dean's case. So this made me look at other forms of incest and just what I think/feel about that.

I'm gonna go home and read it again and leave a comment this time - I didn't this morning as I was too blown away and it would have been nothing more than "WOW. Fuck. WOW". And she is such an amazing author so I wanted to step back, let it settle and go back to comment later when I had a better ability to be coherent! *grins*

Oh, by the way, a little while ago you rec'd a WIP she was doing? Do you know if it is complete yet?

Yes, it's completed. Here (http://fleshflutter.livejournal.com/tag/mini-nano)'s the link to all 30 chapters. How I envy you for being able to read that all at one go!!

You know, when I first came into this fandom, I had no idea that there're people who objected to Wincest! And yes, given their upbringing, I thought it was so, like you said, inevitable that the sex happened!

Oh hon, I am excited! *squee* I don't read WIP's until they are finished for a couple of reasons. One is that I have no patience and just want to know the end right then and there. Another is that I hate it with a passion when something is started, is awesome and your eagerly waiting for more and they never finish it. The other reason is coz if I read it in parts then the OCD kicks in and I have to re-read each chapter before I read the new chapter (man, I did that with the Harry Potter books and can you imagine what it was like by the seventh!). *runs off to read*

Are you at home now?

And have you read this?

http://tru-faith-lost.livejournal.com/37622.html

You need to be at home when you read this - the angst and the schmoop omg. I've just finished reading it, and thank goodness no one came in while I was at it. I'm still reeling from it!!
