I really don't want to be spoilt for the upcoming new SPN episodes. But it's so very hard. Please stop tempting me with those mouth-watering snippets *begs* :D

ETA : There's a spoiler for the next episode in one of the Google alerts on Jensen that I received today. So you might want to be err, on alert.

I read this today.

My Wingman by lyra_wing, an absolutely adorable story written by lyra_wing. It's gen, AU, but they're still saving people, only in a slightly different way. Meet Dr Samuel Winchester and Dr Dean Winchester, the attending physician and the cardiac surgeon at Sacred Heart Hospital respectively. Yes, there's a Dr Cox there, and yes, this is gen but it's written by lyra_wing! *glee*

And another rec of the J2 kind. I'm totally in love with this story.

Summary : Jared's known Jensen since he was born. Jensen's his best friend. They share a house.

It's not easy for them. They've known each other forever, they're practically brothers. It's made even more complicated because Jensen has a girlfriend who thinks that Jared is in the way. It's hard because Jared has people who're trying to get him to date them. And it's kind of pointless because at the end of the day, it's Jensen that Jared's going home with. And that everything is "us" and "we" and "you and I". And when they finally, finally got it, it's not a bed of roses for either of them, they don't just fall into each other's arms. There're things to work out, things to figure out.

The yard's neat: lawn mown, shrubs trimmed. Petals dried up and brown, hanging off yellowing stalks. The raised beds are dark with rich soil, broken up by cabbages, and the bright, leafy tops of carrots.
The apple tree's gnarled, delicate top shoots waving in the wind. A flash of red, hanging heavy and low, and Jensen walks over, picks it. Tosses it to Jared. "First fruit," he says.
Jared catches it easily, brings it to his mouth, bites. It's not ripe, not yet, but it's less bitter than sweet.
Jensen asks, "How is it?"
Jared smiles. He holds it out.

This is a fantastic read. There's a dream-like quality to it, it's more like I'm looking at a picture instead of reading the words. There's no overt angst but still it makes my heart ached and ached. Lovely.

But at least it's just for the next episode. I read the first couple of lines before I realized that it was actually a spoiler. Aaarghhh geram!!!!

That couple of lines that I accidentally read in the google alert were enough to tell me what the next episode's about. It sounds really good, but I wish I hadn't seen it *wails*
