Jim Beaver said Jensen cried off-screen during filming of the finale. Who wouldn't, when faced with a brother's grief such as this, and unlike *that* scene in 'Heart', Dean didn't, couldn't share Sam's grief.

And a lovely, lovely song here. Cheesy, yes, the video clip even more so *cringes*. But oh, these lines *weeps*

Oh they are, Julia, they are. That first pic especially, that was heart-stopping, to see Jensen so broken. He did say in an interview before, that he only needed to see Jared crying to get his waterworks going, and Dean didn't shed a single tear in the finale, so Jensen did that off-screen.

Oh btw, Jared said that he thought of something bad happening to his dogs, which helped him to get going in 'Heart', remember that one? He cried after shooting Madison the werewolf.

I wonder what made the tears came out this time, for Jared I mean.

I wonder how many takes they had to do for that scene. Or maybe they rehearsed it plenty of times so that when it came to the real thing they only had to do it once.

That is so Dean's song, isn't it? Anyway, that first pic, it tore at my heart to see him that way. And that second pic, they were just reheasing there, weren't they? I mean, Dean was looking at Sam, and Sam wasn't crying ( yet ), so I think they were just trying out that scene. And as Oselle pointed out, Jared's hand was behind Jensen's neck. I didn't notice his fingers there before!

That look in Jensen's eyes, how to describe that, Toni? Other than utterly and totally broken. And I understand perfectly what you're getting at, the behind-the-scene shots wrecking havoc with our peace of mind, even more so than the actual scenes!

Jensen was mourning for Dean, Louise. For both Dean and Sam. I don't think Dean in season 4 would ever be the same again.

He's psyching himself to see Sam losing Dean, again, and for an eternity in hell, without Sam.
