The promo showed the host standing on what I initially thought was Middle Earth Rocks, and that would be kind of awesome because those rocks made headlines a while back. But nope, the Middle Rocks are actually just that - rocks, and nothing else, and not that cliff-island thing that was supposed to be one of the pit-stops for the race.

Too many celebrities this time they might as well call it 'TARA Celebrities'. Lots of complaints about that, but really, this is Asia, you can't have just any Asians to be on the show, because seriously? The average Asians do not speak English well, and even when they do, their conversations are mostly ... uninspired, for want of a better word. It's television and the bottom line is the ratings. God, I wouldn't want to watch my neighbours on the show, heck, I wouldn't even want to watch myself on TV.

Team Thailand - two beauty queens, and one of them is Miss Universe 2005. That's serious eye candy indeed.

I'm Asian but I don't look anything remotely like that. ETAShe's Thai by marriage, but she's Russian by birth.


The two teams from Malaysia, one is a brother and sister team and the other team is made up of an actress and her friend, The Heiress *rolls eyes* Okay, yeah, you're filthy rich so what are you doing on a reality TV show? And chloe_amethyst, the actress is the one who played the ditzy mum in that movie.

Geoff and Tisha, the dating couple from the Phillipines. Other than the boyfriend looking like Wentworth Miller, I thought they're just an ordinary couple. Until I read that Tisha was Miss Phillipines Universe 1998, de-crowned because of her Canadian citizenship.

Bet there'd be lots and lots of water-related tasks. Ha!

I hope they'll have the brains as well. It would be frustrating if all they did is giggle and squeal their way through the race, looking cute and pretty. The first season was won by a team made of two gutsy women ( from my country yay! ), they're no celebrities, and I was so proud of them!
