Yup, ten more days to The Day Dean Comes Back From Hell I'm so excited omg!




Anyway, I thought I'd do a ten-day countdown with my top ten favourite scenes from Supernatural Seasons One to Three, beginning with this. Not an easy task, choosing only ten, and even harder to arrange them from 1 to 10. I kept re-positioning them, thinking I love this one, but oh, I love this one better!

The end scene from 'Everybody Loves a Clown'. One of the most intense scene ever.

Sam continues from an earlier conversation when he questions Dean's silence on the subject of their Dad, revenge and what Dean's going to do about it, whether Dean's going to stay beneath the Impala forever.


Sam admits that Dean's right about him always picking up fights with John, and he admits that what he's doing now is too little, too late. But he misses John, and he feels guilty, and he in *not* alright. "But then, neither are you ... I'll let you back to work."


Dean doesn't say anything. He just looks at his brother, letting him have his say. God knows what he's thinking right then.


But he's angry.


Angry at John and with what John told him about Sam, with what he's supposed to do about it. Angry that he can't grieve properly for the father he worshipped.


And Dean. Smashes the car ... And that fairly took my breath away. Because Dean loves his car. He calls the Impala "baby" for God's sake.


And he vents his anger on the car. Over and over and over again.


*Deep breather here*


He looks on towards the house, towards Sam. He doesn't cry.


And that's it for number ten, a scene that I'd remember long after the show ends.

I struggled with my choices too. My initial list was well over twenty! I also have a feeling that I'm going to see your posts every day and think "oh, I wish I'd put that on my list" just like I did with this one.

What gets me about this scene is the intensity in Dean's eyes - there's so much hurt and pain there, I honestly expected him to shed a tear. And the fact that he couldn't pained me even more.

My orioginal list had 16 in it, and it pained me to cross out the extra six.

And I only just realized that Dean didn't say a word during the entire scene. Not a single word.

I found that to be a nice touch actually. It made me think back to when he lost his mother and wouldn't talk for a while after...

Dude. I'm freaking EXCITED. Watched Tall Tales last night on TV with my 'rents (stupid TV3 cut out the juiciest moments. boo!) and my dad, the ever-loving Dean!boy was all, "man, he shouldn't talk like that to his brother!" when Sam went all bitchface at Dean outside Crawford Hall. Hee.

And I noticed one thing, they used motel door no.12 in that episode, the very same door as the one they used for 'Jus in Belo' and 'A very supernatural Christmas'. And if you squinted, that 12 looks suspiciously like J2! :DD

He didn't say anything in that scene, did he? But he acted his buns off. I could understand everything he was feeling from the look on his face and the things he did, especially beating the hell out of his beloved car.

That too has made it to my top ten. Once again Jensen acts the hell out of a scene. OH I LOVE HIM SO. Perhaps mostly coz I don't see Jensen when I watch the show, I see only Dean. And that scene broke my heart. When he started on the Impala I bawled my eyes out - nothing was more proof to me that Dean was truly broken than seeing him lay into his baby.

ooooh....also one of my favourites.

I like your idea of picking top 10 moments...i'm trying to work out if it's easier than my decision, which was to re-watch the entire show from episode 1 right up to the season 3 finale in time for the premiere....and I decided to start on the 1 September. That's.....60 episodes in 18 days. And I'm reviewing every single one too.

I'm basically living in front of my tv.
but...i also gushed on about this scene....ooh the heartbreak, the pain, the angst! The poor Metallicar!

I do hope we won't be disappointed by it. All these anticipations and sky-high expectations, I'm so scared that Kripke won't deliver.

I'm kind of disappointed with S3 premier, I truly hope that this upcoming premier would live up to the standard set by IMTOD.

Admittedly, trying to surpass the season 2 premiere is difficult! But yes, season 3 premiere was awful..the entire season was a little bit disappointing...

I'm worried too...after all, how one arth can they surpass actually sending Dean to hell?

Jensen's intensity here is incredible. The scene crackles with it. One of my fave scenes also. Anger, grief, betrayal, confusion, abandonment--it's all there in his eyes and posture, even w/o whacking the Impala. Although the whacking ramped up the intensity until I could hardly stand it. Oh, the angst!!
