Supernatural 4:04
Oct. 10th, 2008 03:39 pmAt last. The real Sam. The Sam that I could finally connect with. Well, as real as Sam let on anyway. Because at the end there, I thought he was kind of giving up, and my impression was that he could go either way. He's tired of it all, that much is clear, but what is Sam going to do next? Ruby has her own agenda, and I agree with Dean; to get Sam on her side she has to make it appear that Sam is doing good things, and she's still reeling in the line, slowly but surely.
About Sam using his powers, no doubt it's for the good of the people being possessed, but I think what Dean's worried about is how it's going to progress from there. Sam thinks he could control his powers, but could he? Especially when he has Ruby as his mentor, who, when all is said and done, is a demon. Is there such a thing as a good demon?
Btw, when Dean was telling Travis about Sam doing his research, did he say something about KY? LOL, Dean ...
Sam looking so young here, very much like the little brother caught with his hand in the cookie jar, so to speak.

Guh, nothing hotter than seeing a man with a book.

Dean packing his stuff. It felt like my heart was wrung every which way when Dean said "You don't need me." Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. And I thought Sam was more than a little panicked there. It has always been Dean scared of Sam leaving him, but Sam doesn't want Dean to leave him either.
I'm quite surprised that Jack didn't know that his wife was pregnant. I thought it was fairly obvious from this pic that she was.

I watched this through my fingers. I kept expecting Jack to take a chunk out of her neck!

That post-'Crotoan' place, don't you think? The place where Dean first told Sam about the possiblity of Sam going darkside. I could accept what Sam said to Dean, how it was when Dean died, but as I said before, what next?

Dean did look extremely edible here. I'm not surprised that Jack wanted to feast on him!

**LOVED** Dean unconscious over that table at the end - bloody hell, so hot!!
Have to disagree with you on one thing though...
Guh, nothing hotter than seeing a man with a book.
A naked man with a book?

Save him, Dean!

Date: 2008-10-10 09:21 am (UTC)It is Deans job to save him though, always has been.

Date: 2008-10-10 09:28 am (UTC)It would be tragic for someone who has faith, like Sam does, to end up evil.

Date: 2008-10-10 04:32 pm (UTC)But I still believe in Sam. I believe that not only Dean would save his brother, but Sam himself would try his damnest to save his own self. He's not like Anakin, who had so much anger in him right from the start. Sam's good, and I don't think it'd be easy to make him go darkside.

Date: 2008-10-10 07:31 pm (UTC)There must be so much pain there. We've seen so much of Dean's pain and worries but it feels like we've seen too little of what Sam has been going through. :(

Date: 2008-10-10 07:53 pm (UTC)Ruby definitly has her own agenda and I don't know if it's the chick that's playing her or they way they have her written this season but she seems even more untrustworthy than last season. She had that smirk right after Sam did his thing and I went oh shit that's not good at all.
Sam needs to look at it from Dean's side. Dean hasn't kept any big secrets he's told Sam pretty much everything while Sam's kept huge one's. Of course I understand to an extent why. He's scared but he should know Dean has been there for him and would no matter what so I'm lost to the reason why he feels unable to share.
It was a particullarly gross episode but it was great!
Sam did look like a kid that had his hand in the cookie jar and him waiting for Dean to come back was a little awesome to see, I'm kind of a masochist. :)
Now that part where Dean was leaving and said Sam didn't need him hurt my heart but I can see where he's coming from and yes Sam did look worried, he's really all alone without Dean and it's not a good feeling.
I kind of wanted to eat Dean myself :)
The part where Sam tells Jack if he hurts Dean he swears to God I thought hell yes some protective Sam Yummy!!!!!!!!

Date: 2008-10-10 10:10 pm (UTC)After Dean said he was leaving, they were interrupted by that phone-call from Travis. Do you think Dean would really have left if Travis didn't call? Hmmm, I see a delicious filler-fic/deleted scene there. Some make-up making-out scenes perhaps?
And yes, yay and yay for protective!Sam there :DD

Date: 2008-10-10 10:16 pm (UTC)No, I guess I don't really blame Sam because he had gone through a lot, the only thing is we haven't been shown yet about those missing 4 months.
But oh, my poor Dean, feeling that he's not wanted and not needed ... :((

Date: 2008-10-12 07:01 am (UTC)It's very reminiscent of Dean from mid season two. It reminds me a lot of Dean's confession in the clinic at the end of Croatoan.
"I'm quite surprised that Jack didn't know that his wife was pregnant. I thought it was fairly obvious from this pic that she was."
I thought the same thing...
"That post-'Crotoan' place, don't you think?"
I do indeed.
I agree with you about the powers. I can completely understand why Sam started using them. He was on his own, and fighting the best way he knew how. But, like you, I think that it's going to very quickly turn into something far more dangerous.

Date: 2008-10-13 04:59 am (UTC)But I can't help thinking that something big is going to happen, something that will push him over. Maybe something to do with Dean?
