At last. The real Sam. The Sam that I could finally connect with. Well, as real as Sam let on anyway. Because at the end there, I thought he was kind of giving up, and my impression was that he could go either way. He's tired of it all, that much is clear, but what is Sam going to do next? Ruby has her own agenda, and I agree with Dean; to get Sam on her side she has to make it appear that Sam is doing good things, and she's still reeling in the line, slowly but surely.

About Sam using his powers, no doubt it's for the good of the people being possessed, but I think what Dean's worried about is how it's going to progress from there. Sam thinks he could control his powers, but could he? Especially when he has Ruby as his mentor, who, when all is said and done, is a demon. Is there such a thing as a good demon?

Btw, when Dean was telling Travis about Sam doing his research, did he say something about KY? LOL, Dean ...

Sam looking so young here, very much like the little brother caught with his hand in the cookie jar, so to speak.

Guh, nothing hotter than seeing a man with a book.

Dean packing his stuff. It felt like my heart was wrung every which way when Dean said "You don't need me." Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. And I thought Sam was more than a little panicked there. It has always been Dean scared of Sam leaving him, but Sam doesn't want Dean to leave him either. Photobucket

I'm quite surprised that Jack didn't know that his wife was pregnant. I thought it was fairly obvious from this pic that she was.

I watched this through my fingers. I kept expecting Jack to take a chunk out of her neck!

That post-'Crotoan' place, don't you think? The place where Dean first told Sam about the possiblity of Sam going darkside. I could accept what Sam said to Dean, how it was when Dean died, but as I said before, what next?

Dean did look extremely edible here. I'm not surprised that Jack wanted to feast on him!

I LOVED SAM with all my heart and i felt his pissed off mood when Dean was pushing him with his words.
Did he deserve the punches? Maybe yes.

I'm glad that he didn't punch Dean back. I was expecting him to, but yes, I'm so glad that he didn't.

I agree with you all the way - Sam in this was just... I don't have words. I wanted to hug him and tell him it'll be all right. He's tired and scared and trying his best but he just doesn't know what to do any more.

My heart went out to him.

**LOVED** Dean unconscious over that table at the end - bloody hell, so hot!!

Have to disagree with you on one thing though...

Guh, nothing hotter than seeing a man with a book.

A naked man with a book?

A-ha, but the book would be moot when the man is naked, don't you think? :DD

Oh Sam, I'm so afraid that he's getting addicted to his powers. Didn't Ava said something about flipping a switch?

Save him, Dean!

If Dean can't no one can.

I really hope that Kripke doesn't do that at the very end, st them against each other. Even worse have Den kill Sam. I want a happy ending but I bet the boss has other ideas.

My pet theory is Dean was pulled out from hell so that he could save Sam, because that's what Dean do, right? I mean, the angels, Castiel or whoever, they could stop Sam, kill him even, but it takes a brother who put him as the center of his life to save him.

Why though? Do you have a theory as to why the angels want Sam saved rather than just dead?

It is Deans job to save him though, always has been.

Because Sam is basically a good person. He's the one who believe in God and angels. He's the one who keeps on praying. It's not his fault that he has demon's blood in him.

It would be tragic for someone who has faith, like Sam does, to end up evil.

From: [identity profile] arabia764.livejournal.com
It would indeed be tragic but I don't think that's enough. The angels don't seem that bothered by the odd individual that gets hurt, casualties along the way seem to be accepted.

I think there's even more to Sam than we know.

I think you're right! Sam's a much more complicated character than we've seen so far.

Hon, I was talking to somebody, and I only just realized - Sam ( Jared ) came out of a ( the ) closet LOL. As what the kids say in 'Blue's Clues' - "A clue, a clue!"

:P

I was really glad Dean found out about Sam's lying to him, and I loved the confrontations they had about it. They can only survive if they're there for each other.

It hurts me the way Dean told Sam everything but getting anything from Sam is like prying a tooth off or something.

But I still believe in Sam. I believe that not only Dean would save his brother, but Sam himself would try his damnest to save his own self. He's not like Anakin, who had so much anger in him right from the start. Sam's good, and I don't think it'd be easy to make him go darkside.

Ahhhh, Sam, Sam, Sam... where are you headed?

There must be so much pain there. We've seen so much of Dean's pain and worries but it feels like we've seen too little of what Sam has been going through. :(

I think that it is yet to come, Sam's four months without Dean. Remember 'Mystery Spot'? There was no Ruby there to "corrupt" him, or whatever it was that Ruby's doing to him. There was just Sam hell-bent on finding the Trickster, and I think he was slightly "off" there. That was when Sam was aware that the trickster's "reality" wasn't real. What then when Dean was really gone for good, and he tried and failed to get Dean out of hell, and he had a pet demon ( or the demon had a pet human ) as his companion.

No, I guess I don't really blame Sam because he had gone through a lot, the only thing is we haven't been shown yet about those missing 4 months.

But oh, my poor Dean, feeling that he's not wanted and not needed ... :((

Yes Dean did say the KY I laughed my ass off but you notice Sam didn't object.

Ruby definitly has her own agenda and I don't know if it's the chick that's playing her or they way they have her written this season but she seems even more untrustworthy than last season. She had that smirk right after Sam did his thing and I went oh shit that's not good at all.

Sam needs to look at it from Dean's side. Dean hasn't kept any big secrets he's told Sam pretty much everything while Sam's kept huge one's. Of course I understand to an extent why. He's scared but he should know Dean has been there for him and would no matter what so I'm lost to the reason why he feels unable to share.

It was a particullarly gross episode but it was great!

Sam did look like a kid that had his hand in the cookie jar and him waiting for Dean to come back was a little awesome to see, I'm kind of a masochist. :)

Now that part where Dean was leaving and said Sam didn't need him hurt my heart but I can see where he's coming from and yes Sam did look worried, he's really all alone without Dean and it's not a good feeling.

I kind of wanted to eat Dean myself :)

The part where Sam tells Jack if he hurts Dean he swears to God I thought hell yes some protective Sam Yummy!!!!!!!!

I wonder whether Sam still keep the ruler as well :D

After Dean said he was leaving, they were interrupted by that phone-call from Travis. Do you think Dean would really have left if Travis didn't call? Hmmm, I see a delicious filler-fic/deleted scene there. Some make-up making-out scenes perhaps?

And yes, yay and yay for protective!Sam there :DD

"He's tired of it all, that much is clear"
It's very reminiscent of Dean from mid season two. It reminds me a lot of Dean's confession in the clinic at the end of Croatoan.

"I'm quite surprised that Jack didn't know that his wife was pregnant. I thought it was fairly obvious from this pic that she was."
I thought the same thing...

"That post-'Crotoan' place, don't you think?"
I do indeed.

I agree with you about the powers. I can completely understand why Sam started using them. He was on his own, and fighting the best way he knew how. But, like you, I think that it's going to very quickly turn into something far more dangerous.

In a way, I'm rather sad for Sam. He's the one with the faith and yet he was the one chosen by Azazel to go against what he believes in ( or whatever it was that Azazel had planned for him ). I hope his faith, and Dean, would be enough to stop him from going darkside.

But I can't help thinking that something big is going to happen, something that will push him over. Maybe something to do with Dean?

I couldn't agree more, and the comment Dean makes about 'God not wanting Sam to do what he's doing' made that even more poignant for me. I think it's going to be a major struggle - he's got a terrible fight on his hands, and I think it's going to take all that Dean's got as well, to keep Sam from crossing that line.

I'm thinking the same thing. I just don't know what it's going to be...
