Oh show, I love you so ...
Not a bad episode overall. It reminds me of that one X-Files episode which they did in black-white. Arty, hubby said. And of course they have to mention Mulder and Scully *loves*
Dean : "That's a TV show. We're real."
And didn't Dean look absolutely beautiful here?

I love 'Ghostfacers', so in the same vein, I love this episode, too! Though I'm guessing there're probably people who don't like it. It's not the squeeable, jumping around type of good, but it's still good nevertheless. Way and above last season's episode 5.
I'm giving it an eight out of the first three episodes' ten. ( ETA 2 : Oh okay, okay, so it's a TEN!! )
And oh, virgin!Dean FTW!!!!!
ETA : And best of all ...

Date: 2008-10-18 12:57 am (UTC)I loved that Sam totally knew the movie that Dean would want to base his life on, but I really want to know what Sam's choice would have been, and whether Dean would have known it.

Date: 2008-10-18 02:21 am (UTC)lol Dean and his Godawful jokes ( *LOVES* ) he keeps at it and Sam's going to end up with his bitchy face permanently etched on, having to listen to Dean's cracky lines all the time!
I didn't get that last bit actually, despite having watched the episode twice. So they were talking about the movie Dean's life would be based on? And it's something called Porky? I've never even heard of that movie before. What is it about?

Date: 2008-10-18 03:40 am (UTC)Porky was the name of a guy who ran a nightclub (Porky's), who caused a lot of trouble for the main teenage idiots.
Porky's 2 is the sequel. They're a couple of those sleazy teenage sex comedies, where a bunch of virgins (guys) are trying to get laid, in the first movie, anyway. Does the plot sound familiar? I believe the movie is from 1984, somewhere around there. I just read it, but I can't remember! Anyway, the sequel is apparently about a bunch of horny college students trying to get revenge on the evil school authorities. I don't think I even saw the original, let alone the sequel, but Porky's is a classic, of sorts, in that genre.

Date: 2008-10-18 04:55 am (UTC)Yeah, I know there's one story already, and I bet by the end of the weekend there will be a dozen more, where Sam helps Dean get rid of that annoying virginity he's re-acquired. Forget the hot blond chick, Dean, your brother's right there, making puppy eyes at you and he knows you a million times better than anyone else ever will.
This is one of many times I really wish the show was on HBO or Showtime, or even FX, where they can get away with a hell of a lot more in terms of sexual situations, nudity, language, etc. As awesome as Beloved Show is now, it'd be even better if the guys didn't have to say things like "bullcrap" and could be more comfortable with taking their shirts off in every episode. They could have sex scenes with Dean and the girl-of-the-moment in every ep, while Sam looks on jealously. They could have Dean showering and obviously thinking about his brother instead of the latest bimbo. We could see Sam showering, not just wearing a towel and water droplets.
Why can't they at least give us this stuff in the DVD extras? The bastards, they don't want to let us have any fun!

Date: 2008-10-18 05:08 am (UTC)Instead of these silly busts, that don't look anything like the characters, why not make the dolls (okay, sigh, "action figures") that look more like the guys, like they do for so many other shows? They could sell a ton of clothes and accessories, like they do for Barbie. Wouldn't you be thrilled to be able to buy your very own Dean and Sam action figures? I sure would!
