Haven't seen it ( haven't even downloaded it yet ) but a number of reviews are up already, and looking at the LJ-cut texts, I'm suddenly filled with so much dread for this upcoming episode. Someone reassure me please? If you could, that is. And without any spoilers, please.

Here's what I just said to someone else: Whatever happens between now and then, I have faith in Kripke and Co. to get us through till the end. I look at it this way, the road may be bumpy, but it's still a road to an ending--I'm hoping--they will deliver in style.

So. I don't know if that's any reassurance, but, without trying to start any wank or anything...it's all I've got. :/

I haven't seen it either, still an hour to go. I think SO MUCH of the episode reactions, for any episode, depend on the individual viewpoint. Obviously, for many episodes, people who are highly emotionally involved with Dean will have a totally different reaction than those who are highly emotionally involved with Sam. (There, isn't that more tasteful than "in lust with"?) There's always going to be a difference of opinion on whether the story was good enough, the writing spectacular or barely adequate, the casting of guest stars inspired or insane, the presence or absence of certain guest stars, whether Metallicar got enough screentime, or why it hasn't been given more to do in the mytharc, or how it handled losing Dean to Hell, and inheriting Sam. 'Cause, you know, someone is bound to write a HUGE rant about that one day. :/

There, I've killed 11 minutes writing, editing, re-writing, deleting, and editing this reply. Only 47 more minutes to go!

Actually, I'd be even more worried if there were no reviews at all. Like that Halloween episode. Usually by about this time there'd already be a bunch of reviews, like it is for this episode, but for that Halloween episode there were only a few! I prefer an emotionally-charged episode that has people talking rather than a bland one in which no one wants to talk about! But I'm thinking people were busy celebrating Halloween for that pumpkin ep which was probably why the reviews came late. Unlike this one, my flist is already full with them!

There are a lot of reviews on my flist, too, but I'm trying to avoid even looking at the cut tags too closely. I agree, I'd rather have one that gets people talking, though some of the debates are so petty and annoying. And some of them raise my blood pressure for no good reason. As in, if my blood pressure is raised due to watching Beloved Show, well and good. If it's from fans absolutely foaming at the mouth, hating any particular character, or jumping to conclusions without ANY consideration of logic or characterization...that's not so good.

I'm downloading the two-part file, for the firt time. And that itself is already making me feel antsy because I'm used to downloading the one-file episode, which is nowhere in sight yet. I hope my download works, I'm so stupid when it comes to anything IT.

JUST finished watching it! It's worth the wait, trust me. I'm just glad the next episode is next week, and they're not making us wait four or five weeks!

Let's just say that for me, this episode makes up for certain other ones this season that disappointed me. A couple of scenes made me squee out loud. You might be able to guess what one or two of them are when you see the episode.

People can rant about Kripke and his faults all they want. I currently freaking love the man!

Lin, you don't have to wait. I'm using the same links as you and Megaupload did the same thing with the dl exceeded. So I'm downloading part two using rapidshare. It will be the same type of file - a .rar and then you just open them with a program like winrar and it will automatically join them seemlessly into the one .avi file. Does that help??

33% to go.... I'm kinda nervous too - got an email from a friend half hour after it aired in US simply saying - EMAIL ONCE YOU'VE SEEN IT. Oh man, this one's gonna hurt, isn't it??

I did think about doing that but I was scared that I'm going to mess things up even more! As it was, I was a bit antsy on downloading it in 2 parts because I'm used to the one-file download. But I've got it now, yup, I waited TWO WHOLE HOURS, go me, before I got the second part, and thank goodness it automatically combined with the first part.

I'm VERY nervous about this. As I said to Iorhael above, I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worse.

Well, I got spoilt for the title and the title for next weeks while searching for the dl links - you know its been a corker of an episode when courtesy goes out the window and they all forget and put titles and shit up straight after the ep. So I have a wee bit of an idea what we are gonna see and if so then I'm both excited and very very nervous. Mind you it is episode nine. They are always mytharc eps and always kick arse. YAY!

It was a good ep for several reasons, but by now you know the part that didn't thrill me. Sam shouldn't do it with Ruby! That said, it was out of sadness and despair, so it's understandable, and I don't believe it will last.

Castiel is really growing on me. :)

On the one hand, I have this set of friends who are saying the episode rocks, and on the other spectrum there're people who apparently hate it like poison! And there's no clear-cut Sam's or Dean's girls ( or Ruby's fans/haters ) to help me along.

Oh well, I'll be able to tell for myself soon enough, but in the meantime I just can't think straight!
