layne67Am I missing out on a lot of brilliant fics out there just because I only read Orlijah, Viggo/Elijah and Casey/Zeke? It's rather ridiculous of me but I feel that I'm betraying Elijah if I were to read, say, Viggorli. Same thing with Domlijah stories ( Elijah belongs to Orli and Viggo! ). I know there're a lot of great fics with those pairings but I just cant bring myself to read them! _grievousangel Houseparty because at time I ate, breathed, drank Orlijah only. Gosh, I shudder to think how close I am to not being part of that beautiful world of Cassie's.
The thing is I'm feeling somewhat at a loss now because I cant find a good,long fic of epic proportions ala Borderlines, Houseparty or Damaged to really sink my teeth into. You know, the stories that make you lose sleep yet not feel sleepy, miss your meals yet not feel hungry , know what I mean? Or should I just go read Viggorli's Chalk Butterfly or Domlijah's Roadtrip? Should I bravely venture into their world and not feel that I'm being disloyal to my OTPs? Omg, I think I need a therapist.

I know not all read a lot of different pairings, but it can be fun. I am for example a Domlijah girl, but I love to read other pairings as well, but much depends on the writer. If I don´t like the first chapter, I can not continue to read. However, I can not ever read a pairing if not Elijah is one of them, that is my only "rule".
LOVE him.
(And you already know some of my favorites.) *Cross fingers and hope you´ll read a Domlijah fic someday*

Date: 2005-04-12 06:48 am (UTC)i only read if elijah is in the pairing as well. it's all about him for me. the only exception i make is with AQ if she is writing a full length that has some chapters that involve other pairings i'll read because i want to keep up with the story. but i only do that with her stuff. i am just not interested if he isn't there. i even go so far as to lose interest or ashamedly i admit i've even gotten upset if he isn't getting enough love and attention in the fic.

For example Frodo/Legolas does nothing for me while Sean/Elijah leaves me cold, yep, even with Elijah in it. Maybe it's because in RL we know that Sean is happily married.

I'm quite unable to read wing fics either. mpreg - depends on how it's written. Some I find quite interesting

Date: 2005-04-12 05:25 pm (UTC)Beekeeper is a very sweet fic, I've read a long time ago and i like it, especially that I love historical AU's, and I love Another Hunger, the plot is just great, and theres some orlijah in it too ;) but if u don't enjoy vampire fics then your not gonna enjoy this one, I myself love vampire fics..but I'm a sick perv so...ahem..dont mind me!
if u wanna read good domlijah, go to salogel's website (http://www.salogel.com/ficindexpage.html) World trip is wonderful, but I really loved Obsession, its a pretty dark story though and yeah it has Sean A but he didn't touch elijah so i didn't mind much *g* oh wait thats actually an orlijah! *chuckles* It slipped my mind that "obsession" is an orlijah..so u might wanna check it out ;)
