Phil said that without fail at the beginning of each season, and I LOVE it when he said that, holding my breath waiting for it actually. Yeah, yeah, I'm an Amazing Race nerd :D

Quite an exciting first episode. Switzerland! First time in that country I think. Such a beautiful country. Love the cheese task. So hilarious! Not as hilarious as the frat boys marching with the Russian soldiers, but still, the sight of them sliding / crawling/ running after the runaway cheese was priceless rofl.

Still not sure who's who yet, but the brother / sister lawyer look smart. Too early to say whether I'm going to root for them the way I rooted for Nick and Starr last season though.

It's good to see the mother-and-son team, I hope they know that one-half of the winners of last season TAR Asia was a hearing impaired guy. The all-girls teams don't look very promising. One up for the Asian version heheh, because we already have our all-girls winner!

And Hina, Steff and Anja, I don't know whether you guys watch The Amazing Race or not but next week they're going to Germany! And while they're in Europe, I do so hope they'll go to Sweden. And of course, I hopehopehope they'll come to my country. They didn't for the last two seasons so I'm hoping they'd do so this time.

In a nutshell, it's a race around the world with 11 teams competing. The teams are made up of 2 people already in a pre-existing relationship eg siblings, married couples, parent-child, best friends etc. It's gay-friendly too, there have been many gay couples competing. There was even this husband/husband couple in season 4 and they went on to be the winners. That's my favourite season so far because those guys were HOT!

It's one of the best reality shows IMO, it has won the Emmy award 4 times in a row!

Oooh, I see!!! But it looks like it's not on German TV, at least not on free tv - it mentions a station that I've never even heard of. Oh well. It sounds exciting and I would have loved to see where they go here.

Whooooohooo! I LOVE this race!!! Unfortunately we don't get to see many here. Or I just miss them I dunno. But they are showing season 7 here now. Whee. Was a very exciting race in South Africa. One car ended up side down. Goodness! And the ending was quite the race between the two last couples.

I think they've been to Sweden in one of the previous seasons, and if I'm not mistaken their task involved assembling pieces of furniture at Ikea. Did you see that one?

No, I didn't see that. *lol* How typical Swedish. Would have loved to see that. I'm sure they had some trouble getting it together. Do you know when that was? What season I mean.

I think I've only seen the ones in the beginning. I browsed the site by the link you gave above. But season 1 and 2 wasn't there. I remember season 3 because of the TWIN brothers. I liked them. A lot. Don't think I saw 5 and 6. And now we're on 7.

I really hope they will continue to show the rest of the seasons. It's such a good FAMILY show. You can all sit together and enjoy different things. And seeing all the places they go to is never wrong! :D

They were in Sweden in season 6. That's another one of my favourite episodes too where they have the bickering husband/wife team Jonathan and Victoria. YES! I remember the twin brothers!

What I enjoyed most about the show is how the team members relate to each other - the siblings etc. So much fun and drama!

Have you ever watched that show The Duke, with Mark and Rovilson? I caught half an ep the other day, and it didn't look too bad. Those guys make pretty decent hosts.

Oh gosh, those two. I hated them during the race. Soooooooo mengada-ngada. I cheered when they lost to the Singaporeans heheh. But having said that, like you said, they're not bad as hosts. The bald one ( I can't remember who's who ) makes me think of Lex.

Btw, there're two Harvard lawyers on the current TAR. Rooting for them? :DD

Ahaha I must be in the VERY minority who actually kinda enjoyed their antics. Some of their lawak bodoh made me LOL. I didn't like the Singaporeans only because EVERYBODY (especially on TWOP) practically worshipped them. I miss Paula and Natasha, and Pam and Vanessa. My fave all girl teams!

Haha I've yet to watch current TAR, but I'm not gonna root for a team just coz they're lawyers! I remember in one of the earlier seasons (I think the one with Flo and Zac) there was a team of lawyers and they got eliminated for taking a cab instead of walking like the clue told them to. My dad was going all "Apa ni lawyers tak reti baca ke?" *facepalm*

I didn't go to TWoP. I gave up on it during TAR Season 4, I thought most of the comments there were pretty nasty and some were downright malicious. I heard it's quite bad there with the SPN thing?

I did go to the AXN TARA forum though, but it's not as enjoyable as LJ, and it's hard to keep yourself up to date with the discussions since there's no email notification.

I now refuse to read the episode threads in the SPN forums on TWOP. They bitch about EVERYTHING. I occasionally wander into the media or ratings threads, but I ignore whatever opinions they have on anything. I do read the recaps though.

The TARA thread at TWOP annoyed me sometimes, but I did read it from time to time. As for the AXN forum, I never even knew it existed, lol.

Hm, I'm not part of that comm. I'll probably just watch it though. Not sure if I'll post anything there. :) Thanks for pointing me in that direction!

Oh please do!! I need more people to squee with!!! It's one of the more intelligent reality shows around, it has won 4 Emmys in a row and it has Jerry Bruckheimer as its producer. It's my lifeime dream that there'd be TAR Celebrity soon with Jaredn'Jensen taking part!
