I don't have enough words to express how incredible this story is. 65,000 words and I still don't have enough of it. It's so awesome that I suspect even 200K wouldn't be enough. I'm hooked, transfixed and riveted to my monitor screen - crying, laughing, smiling - and now I can't wait to read it all over again!

Summary : Jensen is a special child with special abilities. So special that no one's really comfortable with him, not even his family. He has no friends and he spends his days alone. Until Jared comes along that is. Jared, the only one who's able to get through to Jensen, but even Jared doesn't know the extent of Jensen's abilities, and to what terrible extent Jensen's family is capable of doing to keep Jensen safe.

It’s not like he doesn’t try to fit in and make friends, he really does. It just seems like nothing he does is good enough for them. If he smiles they blink. If he speaks they stare. And whenever they see him coming they get this panicked look in their eyes like they want to run away and they don’t even know why.
Jensen knows why. It’s the same thing that makes his dad worry and his mom cry. That makes Nana tell his parents he’s going to Hell, not even caring that he can hear her.
It’s what makes him ‘weird’.

I think she said part 2 is completed it's just that she needs time to post it ( she said a few days )because it's so big, and there's the soundtrack and the artpost as well, it's like a big-bang fic! Don't worry, Part 1 is 60K ++, and the ending is like the season finale of a TV series, it doesn't really leaves you hanging. I think part 2 is going to start with them all grown up.

Did you listen to the accompanying piano soundtrack? I'm so upset because my connection is CRAPPY today and I couldn't listen to any of them :(

But omg, I felt like I've been ran over by a truck or something. And Jensen made me think of Sam and Ava and Carrie rolled into one.

NO! I didn't listen to the soundtrack (yet), because something didn't want to download, but I want to and I WILL!

Jensen made me think about my daughter, which, y'know, just about kills me.

It makes me feel it pays off to write something and edit it and polish some more for half a year (I think she mentions that's how long she's been working on it), to have that effect. I might want to try that approach now, omg. But I don't know if I'd have the patience without the feedback.

Do you know something about that novel that inspired felisblanco ?

I know the author, I've read a few of her books which I love very, very much. I haven't read the book she mentioned though, and I'm so planning to read it now. I also plan to watch that movie 'The Piano'. Have you seen that movie?

Omg, I can't wait for part 2! I'm thinking that part 2 will start as them being grown up, maybe Jared at 18 and Jensen 22. And I'm thinking that Alan will probably be the one who tells Jared where Jensen is.

I've seen "The Piano", but it was ages ago, and I don't remember much. It didn't have such impact on me obviously. I gotta get my hands on that book, though.

I don't know how old they will be when they meet again, but I have a feeling Jared might be the "tall as a tree" adult at a time. I don't know. I just know I want to read it NOW! I'm more excited about it than new SPN episode. Much, much more. :)

I initially thought Jensen was special in the way like maybe he has Asperger or autism, a high-functioning autistic maybe, and the things that he sees are actually just in his imagination, I was well, not to say taken-aback, but I sort of had to gather my thoughts and all, you know, Jensen being enchanted and magical and all. Goes to show what an awesome writer she is, because that's not an easy thing to pull off since the story is not in the realm of X-Files or Supernatural, if you know what I mean.

At one time I even thought that Jensen might have temporal lobe epilepsy, the way John Travolta's character in the movie Phenomenon had.

Part 2 is completed and she said she's going to post it maybe in a couple of days. She said the second part is going to be even bigger than the first one, hence the delay.

I haven't listened to the soundtrack yet :(( I have very slow connection today and was unable to hear any of them! The songs are mostly what Jensen played to Jared and I think the last one is when -- oh but I can't tell you that because it's going to be spoilery. But don't worry, it's not a deathfic.

I thought so too, but figured out pretty quickly it was not the case, because those weird things don't actually happen to autistic people. ;) I was a little disappointed for a brief second, because it's rare to find a fic where Jensen has mental problem just because he has one, not because he was abused, or had a traumatic experience or whatever. But I forgot about my disappointment rather quickly, because 1) this fic and the idea are extraordinary and unusual, and it's beautifully written, and 2) it all still fits the idea of autism, or some other innate disorder in the way the family reacts to Jensen. Well, other than them being afraid of him hurting someone, because things like that don't happen either, at least not directly. But in the way they try to hide him or make him normal.
And 3) I was very curious how she was going to explain it. For a while I thought Jensen was an angel, sort of like Anna, only with the extraordinary abilities.

It's completed. She posted the first part ( seven chapters ) and will be posting the second part in a couple of days. She said the second part is even longer than the first one hence the delay.

Have you seen the movies Carrie, Phenomenon and Powder? Think Jensen as a combination of all three main characters but with even MORE scary abilities. And think a mother who think that her child is a freak, a child with the capability of killing people, and a mother who's afraid that the world would find out about her son. So she kept him isolated. Things changes when Jensen discovered music (you've seen the awesome banner? ), and with it Jared who came to be tutored how to play the piano. Jensen's 18 and Jared's 13 at this point. The ending of the first part is dramatic, but not "bad", I mean, I took the ending well because there's still part 2!

I'm so hoping that the second part will start off with them being adults. That maybe Jared will find Jensen in an institution somewhere, doped out of his mind, or something like that.

And oh, isn't it so heartbreaking, an 18-yr-old with a 13-yr-old as his best friend, his only friend? And Jensen telling Jared that he's going to be magnificent during that last phone call *cries*

I was a little disappointed for a brief second

Oh me too, though I hesitated to use that word, because the story itself more than made up for that tiny, tiny hitch. But at this point of time, if Jensen were to be diagnosed with some physical disease ( the way John Travolta's character was diagnosed with TLE ), the "magic" of the story would be somewhat diminished IMHO, so yeah, even though I was initially mildly disappointed with the magical angle, I'm now ALL for it!

Gosh, I can't imagine what it's going to be like when they have their first sex together - an earthquake would happen? :DD
