Looking at Sam flirting with the doctor in 'Sex and Violence', I can't help but think of how far he has come from the shy young man fumbling his way through with sweet Sarah Blake, to the slightly more confident but still adorably awkward young man smiling and laughing with the self-assured Madison, to the man that he is now - very sure of himself and going all out no holds barred with the equally flirtatious Cara.

Three beautiful women, and the three stages of Sam's flirtings.



Season One : Provenance.

Did Sam have his hands behind his back there? ^-^ He looked like a school boy!


Omg, those dimples and that hair!


Dinner with the lovely gal. Sarah ordered beer for them both, bless her sweet heart. I wondered a bit there, was Sam unfamiliar with all the wines or was he daunted by the price?


The boy was smitten *smishes*




Again, those dimples and Sam's dazzling, dazzling smile.


He looked so innocent and unsure of himself, rubbing his hand behind his neck like that.


Shuffling his feet perhaps?


Finally. A kiss!! Such a sweet, lovely kiss, Sam's huge hands cradling Sarah's head oh so gently.


Season Two : Heart

And now for girl number two, the very beautiful Madison.

Awww, still the sweet, awkward young man. Don't you feel like ruffling his hair there ( among other things )?


Uhm, okaaay ...


Cracking his knuckles omg!


Another sweet gesture, scratching his head, not sure of what to say or do perhaps?


Sam was happy there, seemingly without a care in the world. And so should he be. There was no deal with demons to worry about, no thoughts of possibly becoming the next anti-christ.


Gazing down at Madison, a soft smile on his lips.


Smiling shyly, looking down.


TONGUE!!


The morning after, Madison in his arms. Yup, Sam had progressed from just kissing to sleeping with the girl!


Season Four : Sex and Violence

Lastly, girl number three, the egnimatic Cara, who came on to Sam as strongly as Sam to her.

No more shuffling feet, no shy, awkward hand gestures.


But still flashing those dimples and that dazzling smile. But somehow, they're not quite the same as before ...


Confident and suave. You can stop rolling your eyes now, Dean.


Lock and load.


Looking down thoughtfully at Cara. I wonder what he was thinking at that time. Jess? Sarah? Madison?


The good doctor getting tipsy.


No sign of the puppy here.


Sam was probably thinking of sleeping with her. I'm thinking that the old Sam would probably have run off to Dean at this point of time!


Right there at the office itself where anyone can walk in and see them. And all of it within one day! Guh.


And where was Dean in all these? He had his own different reactions to seeing his little brother in action.

"Marry that girl, Sammy." AWWWW ... Dean's stamp of approval to Sarah.


Dean knews that Madison was very much Sam's type so yeah, I think he was letting Sam win there. And one of my favourite gag reels, ever, because that was one of the rare moments that we got to see snarky!Dean transforming into sweet!Jensen in the blink of an eye!


Disgruntled Dean. I wondered a bit there. He had no inkling yet that Cara could have been the siren and Cara wasn't his type so why grumpy? "C-blocking little brother."


And when Sammy finally gets the girl?

That's my boy ... a slightly wistful look there, maybe?


Sammy's getting laid. Finally. YES!!!


But here? Definitely not happy. At all.


So. The three different stages of Sam flirting. Which one had the most effect on you, and by that I don't just mean the awww-inducing effect!

Am I the only one that thinks these girls all look really similar (pretty, but similar) and completely the opposite from Jessica? They are brown haired, dark eyed...While she was blond? Hmmm...

Oh I agree with you. Sam has a certain type, and Jess was the only one who seemed a little bit different, in looks that is. But they all have one thing in common, including Jess, they were all intelligent girls!

I'm torn between Sarah and Madison! I thought the entire Sarah thing was really cute, but with Madison I was more emotionally torn because their chemistry made me laugh, say "AWWW", and then there was the sad ending!

I vote Sarah and Cara! I didn't really feel any chemistry between Sam and Madison to be honest. But he was so adorable with Sarah (and she's so pretty too!). With Cara, I loved how he was all blatantly smiley flirty. *loves smiley Sammy*

Sam evolves from boy to man, and I LOVED your picspam depicting this! So sad how he changes, but it's the cycle of a man's life, right?

But Dean got a little pissed off at Sam for what he called so kindly, "Banging monsters." Sarah wasn't, and it turned out Cara wasn't, either. So Dean, you're not entirely or ALWAYS right!

Someone above commented that Sarah, Madison and Cara kind of look alike in their colourings and all, but Jess? She was different. You know what? I think Jess was a bit like Dean. Tall, blonde, she even had the same birthday as Dean!

Exactly. And I think that irrevocably changed the way Sam thinks about sex. He's not as... wonderous.... about it anymore. Which I think you can see very clearly with Cara.

Oh HELL YES! Jess was very much Dean's replacement. I think even from a canon point of view they were very similar. Even in appearance and height.

Jess also looked a heck of a lot like his Mom, though he only had that one picture of her. She was also the sort that so many guys see as the ideal woman, tall, blond, beautiful, outgoing, etc. But also, yeah, a bit like Dean!

She's a lovely girl, sweet and very pretty. She was a good match for the old Sammy. And she had Dean's approval!
