The Doors of Time : Part 2, completed.

I spent the better part of yesterday reading the second and final part of [livejournal.com profile] felisblanco's Doors. "Reading" is an understatement actually, I was wholly immersed in Jensen's enchanted world, and I swear I levitated a couple of inches in more places than one it's that magical.

Reading it, I was half-afraid that I would find the magic diminished with both Jared and Jensen now all grown up, the way Susan and Peter lost their Narnia magic, but no, it's there strong and beautiful, just the way it was when they were kids. And I was kind of anxious on how the author would bring Jensen back, the anxiety was almost as bad as during the wait on how Kripke would bring Dean back from hell. And I'm happy to say that [livejournal.com profile] felisblanco delivered, and more!

The story is, to put it in a nutshell - awesome, amazing. Magnificent. And listen to this to summarize the whole mood of the story.

I do hope my non-SPN friends would give this story a try. I know it's hard to read outside your fandom, God knows I tried with SGA and Sentinel, but this is an AU, and I guess you could imagine your own OTP in place of Jared/Jensen, the story is so not to be missed!

You've got me interested. I'll give this one a try tomorrow, if I can get some extra time.

Yes! I know the answer i was waiting for now. And she's kinda responsible for all my unreplied comments - i can't stop reading. So if you don't hear from me it's totally her fault :)

Omg I haven't checked my flist since yesterday morning, that's more than 24 hours, a record of sorts, and yeah, it's totally her fault *g*

Why everyone recs fics of people who will get a gazillion comments while there are better fics out there who don't get a shit? *scratches head*

Oh but this one is really good. Better than some of the published books even! :)

This is one of the reasons i stopped writing. Reccing always the same people who always get the million comments. Sorry for my rant but this whole thing makes me not to want to read.

So, happy ending? Will I like?

You know me, pathetic as ever.

Oh happy ending, definitely. I could tell you about it but it would spoil the dramatic element of the story!

The commentaries that accompany the soundtracks pretty much gave an overview of the whole story but they're very spoilery! They're here (http://felisblanco.livejournal.com/854766.html) and here (http://felisblanco.livejournal.com/860756.html).

I'm a spoiler whore, you know me.

:-)

I shall go and check it out. I need something to read. I put a whole lot of fics on my ereader - then deleted the lot. There's some poor quality writing out there!

Writing-wise this one is superb but I think you've read Felisblanco before?

And DON'T worry, the ending is all good!!!

I don't think so but I'm eager to give it a go.

It's deliciously long! The author said Part 1 and 2 combined is as long as 'HP : The Half-Blood Prince' but it didn't feel long to me because I was gobbling it up, and you know, when something's good, the time and words and lines just flew. And I don't want it to end, ever.

To me the second part was a bit overloaded with magic. I didn't even finish it yet, stopped around chapter 11. I don't like how Jensen is so "unique" and "the only one". It's not what I got from the first part, and I'd rather treasure that earlier experience.

Oh but I love the magic, couldn't get enough of it really. Have you read the author's notes? I think she mentioned something about how part 2 differs from part 1, and I think that's where you're coming from, the difference in the overall feel of the story.

*hugs*

I need to "switch gears" so to speak and read the remaining chapters with a different approach. Yes, I read AN and I wrote a comment with which I apparently offended the Author, what wasn't my intention and now I feel bad about it. Well, not like it was the first time. :\

But I'll definitely give it another try. :)

Hey! Don't shoot the messenger!! LOL.

But yeah, I totally know what you mean. I've been breathing, sleeping, eating and drinking that story for days now!
