Is a wondeful, totally fun movie. I can't believe that I waited all this while to watch it. Not that I didn't want to but hubby absolutely refused to go see it at the theatres. And when we got the dvd, none of my boys wanted to watch it with me! But the in-laws came for the weekend and of course I just had to rope in my SILs to watch it with me. Oh my, we had such a blast - singing along with the songs, and best of all hubby watched it too and he loved it!

It's such a feel-good movie, isn't it? Oh the nostalgia ... I think I was about 10 or 12 when ABBA was at the height of their popularity, such a long time ago!

In other news, Matt Damon participated in the Cape Argus Cycle Tour in Cape Town on Sunday by riding on a tandem bike with brother Kyle to raise money and awareness for a charity and it was a gruelling 110km tour. I ADORE that guy.

How I wish that was Ben with Matt. Or Jared and Jensen :)

I loved Mama Mia and can understand how people got up in their seats at the cinema and danced in the aisle. It was just soooo much fun. Hee - unlike your husband, mine lasted five minutes and was OUTTA THERE!

*laughs* And they were naked and it wasn't a bike it was a bed......

Well, at least you managed to get Phil inside the theatre in the first place. Mine absolutely refused to go! *sighs* It must have been fun watching it on the big screen.

Yup, they were riding each other instead of a bike, tandem or otherwise heheh.

Ohhh no. Alas I didn't manage that. My mum went and told me about the dancing in the aisle. I had to wait for the DVD too! And Phil only stood about five minutes of that before he went to "redeem his manlihood". *snorts* Dramatic much??

*goes to happy place*

to "redeem his manlihood".

rofl

But, but, that was Pierce Bronan, and Colin Firth!

Omg Toni, wouldn't Jensen be amazing in a musical comedy like that? *dreams*

Alas Phil never thought Pierce or Colin were very manly to begin with. He obviously has very bad taste in men! Thank goodness he has good taste in women. *hee*

Dude, I would love to see Jensen be creative like that....ONE DAY!

Aww, that is so cute!

While we're wishing for things, can J2 be covered in chocolate syrup?

From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
Ahaha, they wouldn't last one km, much less 110, they'd be too busy licking the chocolate and the sweat and everything else off each other!

Kyle looks even cuter than his movie star brother :D

Now you took a small idea how Greek islands and people are :D
I truly adored Mamma mia :D

Gish, after Red Bull, shall we expect something like that with the J2?

Oh Jasmine, that was a very beautiful island Sophie and her mum lived in. The sea was soooo blue, and the people so fascinating! Which part of Greek was the film shot in?

Omg, Jared and Jensen on a tandem bike? Jared would be ALL OVER Jensen if he was the one sitting behind LOL.

Of course, Jared would sit...behind, lol

Actually, the movie was filmed in Scopelos island and in Pelio which is not an island but it has amazing beaches and blue waters.
When i was three, i almost downed in hat sea, lol

I want to watch it again! And it totally makes me want to listen to ABBA songs all over again. I especially love to see Colin Firth singing :))

Oh, I LOVED this movie! And I absolutely adore Amanda Seyfried's voice. And all of her. She's not pretty, but she's pretty, y'know. ;)

J2 on a tandem? *THUD!* (too bad it's only in our imagination. Or maybe not bad? I might not get up from the floor. *g* )

Amanda Seyfried's the one who played Sophi, isn't she? I like her and I think she's very attractive. Not pretty in the usual sense of the word, but attractive. And her character Sophi makes her even more attractive. I love it when she asked her mum to give her away.

We could still get to see J2 on tandem if we wished hard enough :DD

That's a cute pic, and I can see a resemblance between them! (And you know I'm picturing Sean and Elijah on that bike! *g*)

I haven't seen Mamma Mia, but now I absolutely am putting it at the top of my Netflix queue!

Men tandem biking is so slashy!!! And oh, do watch Mamma Mia. You'll find yourself singing along with them in no time at all!

I enjoyed Mama Mia too. It makes you feel good, and that's what I love about it.

I was laughing and smiling like nuts the whole time I was watching it. There're some heart-wrenching moments, too, though. For instance when Sophi asked Donna to give her away, and when Donna was helping Sophi get ready for the wedding and she was doing her daughter's nails with Sophi on her lap like a little girl ... *sighs*

Oh they can't do that because fans would die all over the world, you and me included :DD

I watched Mamma Mia a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine wanted to show it to me and I really loved it. So colorful, funny, intense ... and yes the songs! I was so young too when they hit all the radios.

*hugs you*

Ooh, I really like that movie! My sis dragged me to go and see it. When the boys started dancing along the dock in their flippers, I laughed so hard! Such a good feel-good movie. *bg*

Matt's brother looks like a movie star, even more than Matt!

Hon, is it possible to make a manip of them riding a bike together? :DD

From: [identity profile] ala-tariel.livejournal.com
I wish I could change the Damons' faces into J2's, but I'm not good in that department.

And, why Kyle doesn't become a movie star like his brother?

Date: 2009-03-13 02:17 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
If you could do that manip, it would be a masterpiece!! Do you think [livejournal.com profile] stawberynvanila could do it?

I've no idea why Kyle isn't a movie star. He should be, since Casey followed Ben's footsteps in becoming one, so Kyle should be like Matt! Heheh.

Date: 2009-03-13 02:19 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ala-tariel.livejournal.com
Yes, you have to ask her to do the manip. She's the expert. :D

Damon Brothers of Hollywood! We should tell Kyle to follow Matt then.
