I almost gave this one a miss because of the dreaded het pairing in it. Almost, but I didn't. Because it's oselle's. And I'm so glad I read this. Coda to 'On A Head Of A Pin', it's Dean leaving Sam after the events in 4.16. Dean needing his space, from Sam, from Castiel, from everything. And it's Dean having a quiet moment with his guardian angel. And as far as random, one-night hook-ups go, Amy is not bad. And there's Dean with a baby, bringing back memories of little!Dean looking after baby!Sam.

This is how it should be, the angels, Castiel, getting Dean back on track. Soft and gentle, angsty and heart-breaking. A must-read.

The first time Dean woke up his vision was unfocused. He saw a blue wall or a blue ceiling and he was aware of that and of forced air moving in and out of his lungs and of the faint itch of the strap that held the tube in his mouth. The second time he was sedated and he couldn't move and he was seeing things or hoped he was seeing things. The third time he saw Sam and Sam bent over him and said that he'd told the police Dean had been mugged so if anyone asked that's what he should say or probably just say he didn't remember anything. He lay there and stared mutely at Sam and thought that Sam touched his face or his head and then he was out again.

You know something? I didn't want to read it because there's an OFC. We share the same reason. But, if you recced this story, that means you like it and that means I have to read it. :D

Heeee, yeah, I love this one, and I probably wouldn't have read it if I didn't know the writer. Don't worry about the OC, she's only a one-night stand, and like I said, she's okay. She was there in less than one-quarter of the story :))

I hated having to put a Dean/OFC label on the story because it automatically makes it look like a romance, which is really misleading. But you DO have to state any pairings upfront, even if they're not the focus of the story. I'm really glad you gave it a chance in spite of the genre and thank you for the rec!

Dean getting groped by Castiel shouldn't be missed by anyone. Just as Dean changing a baby's diaper omg. That image should be seen by everyone and I want to see that on the show so bad!

Well, we had the laundry scene, them sleeping in the car, brushing their teeth ( twice ) so it's high time we get to see them changing babies' diapers *nods* And them cooking in their motel kitchenette, or shaving ( preferabaly each other ).

God, Jared should have said all those instead of just that he wished they had Sam working out at the gym.
