So many exciting movies to look forward to this month and the next. And I really can't wait to see Transformers since I've only just seen the first one on DVD and it's AWESOME! What about you? Looking forward to any of these?

I'm not a movie goer, but Star Trek and Transformers are a must-see. :) Long-time loves, y'see.

I've been wanting to watch Transformers ever since I got out of the cinema after watching the first one. :D (I watched the first one twice, first at IMAX and then at regular old TGV) Unfortunately, I won't be watching this one at the cinema. Hubby's all *sadface* about it, even though he'll be watching with his other fanboy friends. lol

Nasib baik la sempat gak tgk Wolverine.

Rieyll!!!! You're still around! I was thinking of you last night while watching TAR, wondering whether you were in the throes of labour :))

We didn't go see Transformers at the cinema because we thought that it wasn't our kind of movie, all those cars and robots, it sounded very cartoon-ish and all. And I had the DVD for months and the kids were pestering us to watch it since forever. And it's so WONDERFUL I love it so much and then I read that the sequel is coming soon yay!! The only thing about it that I didn't like was the sequence at the end where the autobots were fighting each other, we thought that was a tad too long and dragging, otherwise it was an awesome movie and I can't wait to watch the sequel. And you got to watch it in 3D!! And I do so want the Impala to meet Bumblebee :DD

Wolverine tak sedap sangat lah, tak tengok pun takpe.

Btw, IMAX has closed down. I called them asking about MBV and they told me IMAX is no more. Is that the only 3D theatre in KL?

Wolverine and Coraline (those of you who are privileged enough to have already seen it gets a wet raspberry from me, it won't come to my island until August)

Hehe why yes I am! :D I think my baby is waiting for me to tie up some loose ends in the office first, she's so considerate like that. lol

Oh, Transformers is an awesome awesome movie. I actually squeed out loud during some parts coz they made the transformations really really badass!

I didn't watch it in 3D though, it was just a very huge screen. :) Not all movies at the IMAX are shown in 3D. And I didn't know it's closed down. Maybe tak laku sgt kot. Even when we watched Transformers, the screen was quite dark, hence our rewatch at TGV.

Actually, most of the cinemas in KL have a 3D theatre. We watched Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Bolt in 3D at Sunway Pyramid. It just depends on the cinema I guess.

Hey, Wolverine was pretty good! Then again, I love X-Men, and I've had a major crush on Gambit since forever so I might be biased. :D

I've never actually seen Star Trek, not the TV series and not the movie ( movies? ). I do know about that "Beam me up" thingie, or am I confusing that with another movie? But I'm planning to watch the upcoming one.

I've always been a movie-goer, when I was in uni I'd sometimes watch up to 5 movies a week, or more. Not hubby though. But he does now. He said he has watched more movies now than when he was younger!

Heheh, not really a fan of that boy actually but he's alright :)

And I'm so thinking that Dean would totally love this story and he'd maybe daydream about the Impala as an autobot!!

Okay, I know my answer kind of looks bad but I really go to movies rarely so I have to be selective. The Star Trek thing? You remember how messed up I was over the Origins comic getting canon Winchesters wrong? Yeah, my kids are named after Star Trek characters so you can imagine how much I despise the existence of this Star Trek movie. Talk about getting canon wrong. LOL Yup.

Date: 2009-05-05 06:52 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
You mean it's totally diferent from the original Star Trek? I don't really know much about Star Trek actually **cowers** so canon Star Trek is the TV series?

If I go watch this one it'd be the first time I'm getting acquainted with it!

Then you'll probably love it because I'm sure it's a good story that's full of action. The problem is that the facts are all wrong. I mean, it's literally like Origins claiming John got the Impala off his dead brother in law and that someone at the Roadhouse taught Dean how to shoot pool and Jo's name was.. okay, what did it say Jo's name was?... and that she's Dean's age. LOL The ages are all wrong, most of these people were not at Star Fleet Academy at the same time, Kirk did not meet Capt. Pike until he was already Captain of his own starship... Yeah... it's TOTALLY wrong. LOL Canon Star Trek is the original TV series and all of the technical manuals, etc., that have been produced over the years. :D

Not saying it won't be a great movie. There's just no way I can watch it without throwing something at the screen.

Speaking of the Impala, and my brain's been hurting over this, is it stated anywhere, canon-wise, when John handed the Impala over to Dean? Adam said John taught him how to drive the Impala and Dean was already 22 when John first met Adam. I thought Dean would already have owned the Impala by then!

I look forward to Transformers most - and Wolverine, hopefully this weekend \o/ - because I'm not sure if I will go and watch Star Trek in the theater. Not that I wouldn't want to but I'm not sure if my friends would be interested in that. Angels and Demons I will probably buy on DVD - I already have the Da Vinci Code so...

I'm so glad that I made myself watch Transformers ( finally ), I kept putting it off. I had no idea it'd be so awesome. And just in time for the second movie too!

The only one I'm really specifically looking forward to is the next Harry Potter, but I'm not even sure when it is being released... Angels and Demons sounds like it could be interesting, though :)

HP will be coming here in July.

I enjoyed The Da Vinci Code so I'm really looking forward to Angels and Demons. Can't help thinking of Castiel and Anna and Ruby and Lilith though!

I LOVE YOUR ICON!!! Is that from your photo op with them?

Someone from my flist, she's not an SPN fan but she went to the con out of curiousity. And she said that Jensen is even more gorgeous in RL and that her ovaries are still exploding! Hee, it's one thing to hear that from die-hard fans ( read us ) but to have that said by a non-fan is so wonderful, isn't it? :))

Date: 2009-05-05 11:22 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] willoweese.livejournal.com
Absolutely! I took my photo ops to work to show a couple of the ladies, 'cause they knew I was going. One of them took one look at Jensen and commented on how gorgeous he was! And she'd never seen the show :) So that was very nice to hear :))

Pity Ian McKellen wouldn't be in this one. He was one of the main reasons I watched The Da Vinci Code in the first place!

And Rome is certainly a beautiful city. Did you see plenty of familiar places in the movie?

I haven't seen the movie yet (it'll be released next week), but I recognized so many familiar places in the trailer. Even too familiar, to be honest, I work very near Vatican so I see it everyday!

*hugs you*

Yeah, that's been bothering me too. I haven't read John's journal so I don't know if it's written there. It doesn't seem right, does it? It feels like John would have given Dean the Impala before that but...
