SPN ending.

i_o_r_h_a_e_l, it suddenly occured to me that the perfect ending to the saga of the Winchester brothers would be Sam going back to college, this time with Dean along for the ride, though not necessarily with Dean going to college, too. It would be, what's the term, a bookend (?), a symmetery, closing of a circle.
Sam : I can't do it alone, Dean.
Dean : Yes you can.
Sam : Well, I don't want to.
Do you think they'd ever have their happy ending?

Jensen wanted the boys to have that, he said so himself. Unlike Jared who said he wanted to see his character die.

Try as it may, I just can't see Dean live a common life. He's too special

Date: 2009-05-19 03:57 am (UTC)I know what you mean by the boys been through so much. My heart breaks every time I see Dean cries. But I secretly love it every time. I guess it's because vividly alive as they are, they are still fictional characters for me. So I don't mind (and in fact craves) to see them put through the wringer. I also of the mind tragedy or imperfect ending leaves deeper impression. With that being said, I wouldn't mind a happy ending either.
That's why I can read SPN death!Fics but not J2 death!Fics, not that I have the illusion J2 in RPS are real.

Dean and Sam have died and in the ending scene they're sitting on a cloud drinking beer looking out on the world below them. They would be all quiet. All of a sudden Dean says-
"God, I can't believe it's all over."
"Naw, neither can I."
Silence.
Dean:
"We sure had a lot of fun."
Sam looking suspisciously over at him. "Do you really think so?"
"Sure. Though you sure as hell made the job more difficult." He chuckles.
Sam is quiet for a while. "Yeah, I know. And he murmurs: "sorry"
"Don't think about it. Too bad about Castiel though."
Sam nods. "Well, I think he's stir up some things up there" Dean looks up. "They sure as hell need it." Chuckles again.
Long silence.
"We sure as hell had a lot of fun, Sammy". He finishes his beer and Sam giggles.
