I wasn't planning on rec'ing this, because not only it's a WIP, it also looks like the author won't be continuing with this but I can't stop thinking about this story, it's soooo good that it practically made me quiver and squirm with delight and anticipation and excitement when I read it.

The Cup of Silence by janissa11. SPN gen.

It's Sam and Dean, and John, but it's not them the way we knew them. It's a bit like WIAWSNB, the boys thrown into an alternate reality with Sam and John still anchored to their real lives while Dean wasn't. The Dean in this story is not exactly Dean and yet is still so very much our Dean. A very interesting take on separated boys.

It's an old story. Has anybody here read it?

I know, right? I told myself, no don't rec this but I couldn't get that fic out of my mind, wondering what happened, what's the story of JD and why Dean was where he was. What do you think happened? I'm thinking John somehow was the cause, maybe he had to do it in order to save Dean from a certain death or something, and now he and Sam were working to get him back.

And nothing in my head could ever be as good as what Janissa had in her mind when she wrote that :/

Yes, that's the one. I haven't read Haystack yet but I know that story. It's de-aged Dean, isn't it? I think I read a little then I put it off but maybe I'll give it another try!

Btw, I'll be rec'ing another of Janissa's story in a short while, and Dian, I think I can guarantee that you'll love it because ... it has a Gabriel, a Michael and a Raphael in it! ;DD

Finished reading The Cup of Silence! The first time I read of JD, I already knew he's Dean.

Wheeee! You read! I wasn't sure who JD was in the beginning. I thought it was another character totally, not Sam and Dean I mean, and when I realized that was Dean, I was like, OMG, what's going on??!!?? It's also a bit like 'It's a Terrible Life' but instead of them both having new sets of memories, this time it was just Dean. Poor man. Hee, and I could see JD falling for Sam heheh.
