Season 5 casting.

So, apparently the part of Lucifer has been cast. I'm dying to know who'll be playing the Morning Star but nope, not clicking, not clicking, not clicking. Especially if the actor was someone well-known. I was spoiled for Mitchell Pileggi playing Grandpa Samuel so I really don't want to be spoiled for this one!

I don't mind speculations though. The first person that came to my mind ( no specific reasons, he just popped into my head ) is ... Adrien Brody!

And doesn't he look quite Lucifer-ish?





Probably not beautiful enough, but then Lucifer won't be appearing in his own form, right? But that's just wishful thinking because I guess Adrien Brody would be way, way too expensive to be in Supernatural.

In a way, I'm happy to hear that someone has been cast to play Lucifer because that would mean that he won't be possessing Sam, right?

GOSH. You're right, though. Adrien Brody would be perfect. He's sort of... broodingly weirdly attractive in a way I've never really noticed before.

Shall have to think on this one. Hmmm. Who would be my perfect Lucifer? *g* *thinkythoughts*

FYI, I think stating that Lucifer has been cast is kinda a teeny tiny spoiler. :/

I mean, I'm a total spoilerphobe, but I figured that when people are raving about some casting spoilers all over that it's most probably for Lucifer. But, still, not knowing which character has been cast no matter if it's Lucifer or Random Chick Hunter #2 or Dean's Love Interest #6, would be nice. So I think it'd be awesome if you could put everything under a cut? EEEK. Feel free to call me a total freak of a spoilerphobe, though, if you think I'm going out of line here. :|

I've seen the actor, I'm slightly ambiguous at the moment because as we've seen a different haircut, makeup and clothes can totally change someone's apperance. I can't say I've ever seen the man act so there's no pre-conceived notations on that front.

The funny thing is I can for some reason relate to him just by apperance in the part. No I don't think he'll be the Morning Star because well that would be too much for anyone to look on and I think as the casting suggest they know this as well.


I'm not real sure why when I look at him I can see Lucifer but I do. *shrugs* Let's hope he can pull the big boy off.

But actually, whoever's going to play Lucifer, that's just a meatsuit for him, isn't it? Though since Lucifer is one who supposedly think that he's God's best creation, better than any human, then I supposed that he'd choose someone worthy to play host to him!

Heh, I think an actor of Adrian Brody's caliber and success would be taking a huge step down to portray a supporting character on a low rated TV show, regardless of what they paid him. It's just two vastly different worlds. Speaking from pure fantasy, Rutger Hauer in his younger days would've made a great Lucifer.

I'm wondering about next season's budget. Is it too much to hope that the budget was increased after last season's ratings gains? Maybe. I just hope they didn't cut the budget again.

I also wish/daydream that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will one day make an appearance, and that SE Hinton will write an episode or two. And I also wish that HBO will take up the show. There, those are my three wishes where SPN is concerned :)

I read the spoiler for who will play Lucifer, but I'm not familiar with the actor.

My choice would have been Peter Woodward, who played Galen in the Babylon 5 spinoff, "Crusade".

Had to go through lots of his pics before I found those, most of his pics showed him goofing and being completely adorable, then bamm, that pic, Lucifer rising!

I'm very tempted to click on that particular spoiler now that a few people here had said that he wasn't particularly well-known but they also said there were two other castings that I might not want to get spoiled!
