I managed to stay mostly unspoiled for season 5. Mostly. Because I did get spoiled a little but I didn't know anything much about them beyond what I accidentally read here and there so I consider that a win.

These are just my speculations and thoughts on the spoilers.

Wow. Paris Hilton. The first time I heard that she'd be appearing, I thought it was just a joke. Something along the line of Wentworth Miller being cast as Lucifer. But apparently, she will be appearing in an episode. Would it be a comedic one I wonder? Because I can't imagine her being part of the mytharc of angels and demons.

And why her I wonder? For publicity? I'm not a fan but I don't hate her either. But apparently her appearance has already garnered some wanks? Maybe she herself wanted in? Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if Paris were a slasher herself. Anyway, I'm looking forward to that particular episode, very much so!

Meg. I'm not really sure whether she'll be back or not but I saw her name being mentioned quite a few times. If she really were coming back, would she still be using the same body? And if not, will the new actress be able to fill the shoes of Nicki Aycox? I prefer the second Alastair to the first one but I hated the second Ruby. It's hard to tell whether a new actor will be able to win over fans' heart. I love all the three Liliths ( not love as in love but you know what I mean ), I love young!John and I love young!Mary but I really, really dislike young!Dean as played by Brock Kelly ( my apologies to Kelly's and Cortese's fans ). What I'm really hoping is for Nicki herself to play Meg!

And Rufus! Now him I love. I love that scene he had with Dean in 'Time Is On My Side'and I don't mind having him back in whatever capacity!

And this last spoiler made me squee with delight. Time travel into the future OMG!! Will we see an older Sam'nDean? Will we see Jared and Jensen being made up to look older? I do, do hope they won't use other actors to play them. And I'm really hoping that that would be a happy episode, not one that will leave me bawling at the end with say, Sam kneeling down by Dean's graveside :((

Is it Thursday yet?

Is it "the boys have another brother" bad, or "Sam has sex with Ruby" bad? Is it something worse?

It's worse than those combined, in my mind. I mean, it's not like it's illogical or cracktastic or designed to make fandom froth at the mouth or anything (though I have a feeling it WILL have that effect), just potentially very depressing. I'm guessing many fans will have mixed feelings, loving some aspects and hating others.

All I can say, without giving it away, is when you see the episode, you'll probably be able to go, "So THAT'S the one people were upset about!"

Oh dear, oh dear. I'm glad I don't know anything about it then. I was upset for weeks before 'Jump the shark' even aired.

Please tell me it's not Sam and Dean breaking up?

I don't think they break up, certainly not the way they did towards the end of last season!

ANYWAY...Jump the Shark, yeah, I was all kinds of nervous about that one, and it wasn't as bad as I thought, I just didn't really enjoy it. I was just so incredibly pissed off at John during that whole episode. Not that he'd had an affair or was at least halfway doing the right thing in eventually letting his son get to know him. It's the downright betrayal of keeping a secret of that magnitude from Sam and Dean, not to mention doing normal father & son activities with Adam and not with his other sons. Dean was SO hurt that he never got to go to a baseball game with his dad. I'm guessing John took him on a "very special hunt" when he turned 16 or something like that, or bought him a shiny new gun for birthdays. Sammy got a shiny new knife, and Dean got guns, and hey, isn't that what a good father is supposed to do for his children? Sorry, I want to like John, but I just can't approve of his parenting skills.
