Hubby asked to watch 5.13 again this morning before going to work. Not that he had never watched SPN more than once before but usually it was me who wanted to. But just now he glanced at the clock and mumbled that he had time for a re-watch. Hee!! I think hubby might just have a tiny bit of a man-crush on young John! He even asked the name of the actor who played John :))

'Kay, Michael is my favourite angel now albeit in a wary, Dean-be-on-your-guard-please kind of way. I still adore Castiel of course but Michael totally slayed me in that episode. I've been waiting and waiting for him to make his appearance and he didn't disappoint. Matt Cohen was wonderful in his potrayal as the archangel and his long overdue talk with Dean was simply perfect. The way he fixed Dean's jacket before he sent Dean back to the future omg I almost swooned at that that was so right!!

But anyway. I'm still wary of Michael as he might just be a different version of Ruby. And I never thought that Ruby 1.0 ( whom I liked ) would turn into Ruby 2.0. So yes, as of this moment I'm totally in love with Michael but I still have this tiny reservation about him. Call it my safety jacket or whatever, if he did turn out to be the bad guy, I won't be too devastated about it. Oh heck, I will be devastated so I really, really hope Kripke won't go that way.

The funny thing is, even though I've been anticipating Michael's appearance for a long, long time, I've never really thought who could be the perfect person to play him ( other than Jensen I mean ). Unlike with Lucifer, I had thought about that and the first actor that came to my mind then was Adrian Brody. But with Michael? Nada.

Though I have to say I totally agree with baylorsr's choice for badass Michael here. Yup, Krycek works for me!


I'm also absolutely on board with Paul Battany playing Michael in the movie Legion (sans wings please ).


And a thousand times YES to this man playing Michael but I guess that would the last time Matt Cohen making an appearance in the show. Unless they make another time-travel episode!

Now I must go re-read The Firstborn by justforspite, With you and I defying gravity by tigriswolf and Angel Rebellion Inc by baylorsr. If you had any other Michael fics that you like, feel free to link them to me. I wouldn't say no to some Dean/Michael pairing either. Hee, I have my reservations about Dean/Castiel but none with Dean/Michael. Go figure :)

So far, with the exception of Castiel, all the angels seemed to be dicks ( with Zachariah holding the number one spot ) and I'm so hoping that Michael will be good. Not goody-two-shoes good, I don't think I'd like that, but good in a badass, kickass kind of way if you know what I mean. But Kripke being Kripke, I wouldn't be surprise if Lucifer turned out to be the good guy after all!

I don't see Michal as "good", because he's all about fighting Lucifer in such a way that will bring about the death of billions of people. And with Dean... there's an arrogance in some of what he said to him. Then again, there's shades of grey... he's not completely good or bad. :)

You know, Kripke's version of angels are giving me headaches. First the Trickster turned out to be Gabriel, ack, the arch of the archangel reduced to that. Then Lucifer apparently is younger than Michael when he's actually supposed to be older! Aargh, I need to stop comparing the angels to the "canon" angels!

I may be mistaken of course but I think Lucifer was the head of the angels before God banished him from heaven, and Gabriel took his place thereafter. Michael is like, second to Gabriel? At least he is in the list of ten archangels!

Oh dear, I can't remember it either. I think it's in one of the earlier s5 episodes. Bobby was there ( or it could be Castiel, but I think it's Bobby ) and he was showing the boys a book with a drawing of Michael in it, and Dean said that looked like Cate Blanchett! It's probably the season premier.

I thought it was early S5 episode too. But after Zachariah revealed Dean is teh Michael Sword, Bobby was in hospital right? I thought it might be Good God Y'all, but wasn't he still in hospital in that episode? I distinctly remember the line was said at Bobby's place, and Bobby was leafing through his book with Dean and Sam looking over his shoulder? Now I gotta dig out all the S5 episodes and watch them again. Oh the chore! ;-)
