Mar. 25th, 2010 12:46 pmOh this is good. Who's who in SPN-land if the boys became girls and vice-versa.
Here.
And I only now realize that Dana Walsh in 24 is Starbucks in the new Battlestar Galactica. Uhm, new because when I think of BSG I always think of the original one with Richard Hatch and Dirk Benedict. But anyway, big, resounding YES to Katee Sackoff as the female Dean. And I approve very much of the male Becky, and female Sam!!
Thanks
maboheme for the heads-up!

Date: 2010-03-25 06:49 pm (UTC)Don't even get me started with Kara and Dean comparison girl! With Kara (Starbuck), I admit I've never tried so hard to like a character. There's definitely something(s) about her that I adored. But (imho) the character was "overwritten" or "over-dramatized" by the writers. Therefore she became a caricature, a 2-D figure (for me) in the end. So when I "encountered" Dean Winchester, I couldn't help to embrace this character who has all the best qualities of Kara (Starbuck) and more, and none of the things that made me go "Huh?!" In fact, during one of my private conversations with my best friend (who's an avid fan of "Battlestar Galactica"), she commented to the effect that had Kara been like Dean, her BSG watching experience would've been complete!
And yes, I fully concur that they both have that omg swagger. :D Oh, and Kara came back from being dead too, except she came back as an angel. ;-)
BTW, I don't think Katie Sackhoff would be on 24 for long. I heard she's going to lead a new cop show on ABC. Although from the description of the premise, some of her fans are less enthusiastic about it. But then again, many weren't happy with her turn on "24" either.

Date: 2010-03-26 02:03 am (UTC)24 is the first time I know about Katie and I really love her character there. It's such a strong character, and even though it's now been revealed that she's working for "the other side", I still like her and is very much intrigued by her!
New show for her? I can't wait and I think she'd be an awesome cop. I can so see her bending the rules to suit her purpose and all that.
